Not untypical of someone of my age, life's experiences and changes have led me to this point as an emerging children's writer. Teacher, parent, grandparent and latterly for work, a facilitator, coach and leadership mentor. People are my thing. Having taught drama for over 30 years in school, character, plot, language and image and the way they interact for an audience are the tools for my creativity. Now it's time to explore a different aspect and to write and perhaps illiustrate my own work, rather than interpreting, performing (yes, reading aloud to the grandchildren IS a performance!) and being moved by others' words and images.
