About Penny
After three decades as an award-winning (Pulitzer finalist) journalist and nonfiction book author, I've written and illustrated a book about my white lady donkey (actually, she told it to me).
I've had ponies and horses, and now a donkey, all my life. A twist of fate brought me back to having a horse at home in my middle age. When he needed a companion, Angel, the white lady donkey arrived.
