I write everything from picture book manuscripts to young adult fiction. My current projects include an offbeat middle grade novel about kids in a gum-obsessed town, and a young adult novel about the aftermath of a death.

I have a background in theatre and a degree in Radio/TV/Film. I'm also a former technical writer, occasional writer of freelance articles, and mom of 3 very active and wacky boys ranging from ages 4 to 13.

My short stories, poems, and articles have appeared in The First Line, ByLine, On the Line (obviously I've done well with "lines"!), Guideposts for Kids, the Austin American-Statesman, Welcome Home, a Say Good Night to Illiteracy anthology from Half-Price Books, the SCBWI Bulletin, Peeks & Valleys, Purpose, Intercom, Garden Center, the Tall Tales and Short Stories, Vol. 2 anthology from Tall Tales Press, and the Summer Shorts anthology from Blooming Tree Press.
