I am a child psychiatrist trying to write to children and adults.Self publ The Children's Book About God by Xlibris, copywright is mine and I am open to revising illustartions, wording etc. Working on a MS on Serious Dating written for a "smart" and psychologically minded reader with the wuestions one would have asked by a therapist who is helping the reader understand what he is looking for, what he needs etc in a life long love. It is not about simplistic adice or how to get a kiss or meeting women/men and interesting things to say. It focuses instead on understanding yourself an d how you are responsible for creating that relationship of love. It is frank and it still has the density of a professional work. It has had some good reviews and encouragement from nat'l magazines tho was fwelt to be too dense for their readership. Are you or do you know anyone interested?I would be interested in what you are doing and have done?Good luck and hope we ,might learn something from each other. A poem to all Jacket Flaps, glade to be aboard!

I’m an unknown artist, searching in defeat. It’s already a half past three, only got two hours left for sleep. Finding an agent Yo, can be bad on the knees.
But leave me be, I wont stop searching until I’ve sailed the seven seas, until my works are set free, until they implode the industry, until they become a clog that runs this machine!
Who will be the first to discover these? Who wants a peek into this new chapter of history? Into my reality, sign me please and receive a children’s book master-piece, at the very least.
Let’s make believe you stand at my feet. I guarantee you’ll be in entwined, Here, you see, I can write a thousand rhymes on a dime, but I know you’re going to fancy this children’s book of mine.
Maximus Minimus is the greatest super hero of all time, with one weakness he must find, love conquers all is the story-line.

Hi Aidana, How's everything going? Up here in NYS we are getting the fall colors. The chilly rain has moved things right along and soon winter will be at our heels. One thing about that season, once the holidays are over there are fewer distractions to keep me from writing. I leave in less than 2 weeks for South Africa to further my research on my sequel. I have about 100 pages written thus far and most likely the trip will add another 100 to it. Because the narrator in the story has grown up ( she's now 15/16, this book will be more for YA-pretty much a typical teenager living in a middle class family with ups and downs. The story is still being shaped. One of my challenges is to take Book one's 10 year old Shelly and turn her into a 16 year old--all the time keeping her basic personality but fusing lots of teenaged hangups. So I've found myself hanging out at the local hamburger place near our high school to listen into how teenagers talk to each other. It's been interesting to say the least! Writing is coming along. I'm pretty much where I want to be in the story before I leave for Johannesburg in mid October. That's when my story family takes off for that country. I still have a lot of tightening up to do so I'll spend some of the next month working on that.... more

My writing desk? Well, bits and pieces, mostly, of new projects. I haven't dedicated my time yet to one project. I'm still working on the marketing of my first children's book - not an easy task.
