My Mac is my most treasured possession...okay, okay, FINE my kids are my most treasured possession and then my Mac and then my husband falls somewhere along the lines thereafter. The past 14 years, I have found myself using my passion for writing to gain experience even if it was at times painful. I was quite miserable writing as staff for a newspaper. I found that I preferred freelance for magazines, where I chose the topic. The past 3 years, I’ve been going into schools and interviewing kids on topics that we as adults face. The wisdom we so often overlook, from the younger humans that populate the world is very eye opening. Life as Mom keeps me busy, yet I somehow find time to write the stories that find their way into my head and scream to be set free. Granted this time is often found at 2am in the morning, while I shoot black coffee into my veins. I’ve managed to finish my 1st YA novel. I have received one contract so far but I didn't feel good about it and I chose to pass. It is now in the hands of another publisher. Someday soon I hope to see my novel on a bookstore shelf, in the meantime, I have my Mac and my stories to feed my need.
