Publisher Information

Pacific View Press

Pacific View Press is a cooperatively-owned small press founded in 1992, with a special interest in the Pacific Rim and its unique, growing interplay of economic and cultural forces. Today we are best known for our growing list of multicultural nonfiction and literature for children. Our children's books focus on the culture and history of China, Japan, the Philippines, Mexico, and other countries on the Pacific Rim. We intend that they encourage pride in and respect for the shared history that makes a people unique, as well as an awareness of universal human experiences. We emphasize good writing, an engaging tale, excellent illustrations by culturally knowledgeable artists, factual accuracy and have made a special effort to publish work by new authors and illustrators. Our children's books have been consistently well reviewed by both library and professional publications and by the community press.

Specifically interested in books with these subjects or themes: multicultural children's books, acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine, asia and asian-american affairs.
