I'm a little irritated with Visual Thesaurus. I said their Blog Du Jour site was one of my five non-kid-lit blogs and then they went and let me down. Their newest set of blogs du jour are titled Teacher Talk. I checked them out, and the title should be High School Teacher Talk.
Where are the elementary school teacher blogs?
I've looked at education blogs before and I went looking again for awhile this morning, but mostly what I find are secondary educator blogs, or blogs about technology in the classroom.
However, I did find Teacher Tube:

Amen to your question about elementary blogs. I'm trying to figure out the best reasons for starting an elementary library blog. I really want it to be for and about kids, not adults. Having access and being able to comment are real issues for young guys. What I really should do is an audio blog. Not a podcast because then you are committed to listening to the entire transmission, but something like the robot voice on computers that you can listen to while you are reading. Of course it would be my voice, not a robot. I don't want to scare my readers!. And for posting comments, they should be able to record their thoughts without struggling to write. Is that possible or is it the next generation of computers? Why couldn't you just upload a soundfile and then readers could click and listen? Inquiring minds want to know.

have a look at http://edublogs.org.
It is not very easy to find stuff there, but they do offer blogs for kids as well. I have set up a blog there myself, but it is not for students, rather it is for teachers.
I am looking at developing a wiki to use for students - wikispaces have a special offer for educators at the minute, a $50 pa wiki for free, as long as it is used for education.
