It has been relentlessly *winter* in many parts of the country thus far this year. Here in the PNW that generally translates to endlessly chilly, grey, wet weather. However now that it is February, we've had a few of our annual mid-winter sun breaks and mild temperatures. It's a tease - you get all excited about impending spring, but the cold rainy days will return soon and hang around through June. I always feel like this song about this time of year (Allison Krauss and Natalie MacMaster):
And in other news, was treated to this beautiful cake today. Flourless chocolate cake - almost as good as sunshine. :-)
