1. FABRICS - art gallery : playing pop

Art Gallery Fabrics have listed some of their forthcoming collections for 2015, and showcased them at the Quilt Fair this week. One of those that really appealed to me was Playing Pop. This lively collection was designed in house by the AGF Studio and features two different colour groups. 2. FABRICS - sarah campbell

Legendary designer Sarah Campbell has created a fabric collection called ‘Melodies’, produced with the US company Michael Miller. It features super colourful, painterly birds, leaves, florals, spots, dots, and geos. The collection features ten pattern designs in two colour groups will be available for shipping at the end of June.

5. Creatures and Critters 3

Creatures and Critters 3 is now available in stores - you can see the whole collection on Robert Kaufman's website. Here is a link of stores that carry my fabrics.

7. FABRICS - ampersand

Yesterday we saw a new fabric collection from Windham called A Nod to Mod and whilst I was looking at Windham's I also spotted  '8 days a week'. This bold graphic set of prints by the Ampersand Design Studio features a calendar theme with days of the week, months of the year, numbers, a blank calendar and celebration icons. You can see the whole collection which is in stores now online here.

8. What I Am Up To

I have been negligent of my blog for a while - but not because I haven't been busy....

I have a few fun book projects lining up which I am really excited about. More news on that later, but I will be very busy with that in the upcoming months. (sorry no images yet :))

A new fabric collection out in stores in April - Creatures and Critters 3 and another collection called Jump into Spring soon to follow.



Also getting ready for Surtex...... yes it is in May, have to start now!




I have also been painting and started a blog about that.

9. FABRIC - brie harrison for winter's moon

10. FABRICS - erin mcmorris

Erin Mcmorris has released a new fabric collection with FreeSpirit Fabric called Distrikt.  Inspired by Erin's trips to Scandinavia the patterns feature graphic prints on themes such as people watching, cobbled streets and urban gardens. The collection comes in three different colorways and can be seen online at FreeSpirit Fabrics or on Erin's own portfolio site.

11. FABRICS - saffron craig

Another fabric design that I have recently spotted is the cheaters quilt design by Saffron Craig. The print is from her Valley View collection which was inspired by the secret beauty of Australia's many breathtaking valley’s while paying homage to folk art, cross stitch and patch work designs. 12. FABRICS - windhams

The latest Lotta Jansdotter range for Windham Fabrics was released at the end of 2014 but I never got around to posting it at the time. Its a fabulous collection of graphic prints inspired by gatherings and mealtimes and using techniques such woodcuts. The prints feature large flowers, oversized gingham dots, stripes, and abstract geometrics and come in three colourways. As seen at Red Pepper

14. FABRICS - sew caroline

Art Gallery fabrics have welcomed a new designer into their licensed artists team - Caroline Hulse. Known as Sew Caroline she was selected by Art Gallery Fabrics to be a part of their inaugural project AGF Limited Edition, where she designed a fabric collection called Gleeful (posted here), which was released in July 2014. 15. FABRICS - miriam bos

Today's posts all feature forthcoming collections from Birch Fabrics, starting with this wonderful range of prints by Miriam Bos. Called Wild Land, after the grassy plains of North America  its a Native American inspired collection with painted horses and teepees. There are eight patterns available in different colours which can be seen online here.

16. FABRICS - teagan white

Acorn Trail is the new textile collection from Birch Fabrics by Teagan White, and is a follow up to her Fort Firefly collection and picks up again with some of its characters and motifs. The forest themed designs can be found on poplin, canvas, knit, and voile and there is even a cut and sew panel so you can make your own character softies. 20. FABRICS - dashwood/ brie harrison

The latest release from the fabulous UK fabric company Dashwood Studio is 'Suffolk Garden' by Brie Harrison. Talking of Geometrics one of my recent fave fabric releases was "Geometric Bliss" by Jeni Baker at Art Gallery fabrics. So it was a great to read Jeni's blog and see all the stylish things she has been making with her bold fabrics. 22. FABRICS - monaluna westwood

I love the colours and prints on this new fabric collection from Monaluna. Called 'Westwood' the range of ten prints have a sophisticated woodland theme with toadstools, deer, and pine trees. The organic fabrics were all designed by Jennifer Moore, who set up Monaluna with her husband as a small, independant fabric company in 2010. 23. FABRICS - melody miller

Also catching my eye for January 2015 is this new fabric collection by Melody Miller for Cotton + Steel. Inspired by games and toys it features such prints as Backgammon, Jacks, Wordfind, Memory, and Bowling. Plus of course one of Melody's signature motifs the Viewfinder, and a co-ordinating floral. A No to Mod is a lovely new fabric collection by Jan Avellana for Windham Fabrics.
