Aimee Wilder, designer and maker of home and fashion textiles and accessories, recently launched her new Bungalow Collection. Ryan Deighton exhibited at New Designers in London at the end of June after graduating from Leeds College of Art where he studied Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design. 6. FABRICS - wendy kendall

Also new from Dashwood Studio is 'Retro Orchard' by Wendy Kendall. Wendy, like Susan Driscoll above, is one of the mega talented 'golden girls' of The Dotty Wren Studio and her second collection for Dashwood combines bold graphic fruit motifs with fun pattern fills in a contemporary colour palette ideal for use in the kitchen. 7. FABRICS - mecca for moderns

Alexander Henry's new MECCA FOR MODERNS collection is released this month and "reflects all the delicate modernism of Sweden". There are four patterns in the group - 'Stockholm' (above) which is a selvedge to selvedge border design with stylized leaf motifs and geometric particles, 'Karin' is a floral design and 'Kasper' an overall geometric. The delicate 'Arvika' is used as a mixer pattern.

9. FABRICS ETC. - cortina japan

I had a great time looking around the Japanese website Cortina where they showcase fabrics and tableware from many different Scandinavian labels including Kauniste, Almedahls (including Olle Eksell tea towels), Marimekko, House of Rym and Finlayson. Miriam Bos is one of the Spoonflower Fabric8 contest finalists who is competing to win the chance to create a collection with Robert Kaufman. 13. FABRICS - fabric8 finalists

And here are two more designs in the Spoonflower Fabric8 contest. The first is 'Far Away Folk' by Cerigwen. I love the way Ceri has managed to get a folky feel to a space design. And below look out for Ali Benyon's POW design with its jewel like colours and organic motifs.

Larger John Lewis stores have excellent habedashery departments with everything you need for sewing and knitting including fabric by the metre and fat quarters.  The cotton fabrics are a mix of exclusive designs and also prints from American quilt companies like this design above and below from Andover Fabrics by Lizzy house. I love browsing through fabric websites and it was great to look through the 2000 plus designs available at Plush Addict. The webstore is one year old today and to celebrate they have 10% off everything across the board and are they having a prize draw to wine a £250 trolley dash trolley dash in their warehouse (which is very big and brimming with fabric!) plus up to £100 towards travel

'Everyday Party' is the newest collection by Emily Isabella for Birch Fabrics. The collection was designed around the idea of creating tiny celebrations from life's ordinary moments and features ten designs total (three of them are also printed in a knit option).
