2. FABRICS - melody miller

Also catching my eye for January 2015 is this new fabric collection by Melody Miller for Cotton + Steel. Inspired by games and toys it features such prints as Backgammon, Jacks, Wordfind, Memory, and Bowling. Plus of course one of Melody's signature motifs the Viewfinder, and a co-ordinating floral. 4. FABRICS - dashwood/ brie harrison

The latest release from the fabulous UK fabric company Dashwood Studio is 'Suffolk Garden' by Brie Harrison. 5. FABRICS - jeni baker

Talking of Geometrics one of my recent fave fabric releases was "Geometric Bliss" by Jeni Baker at Art Gallery fabrics. So it was a great to read Jeni's blog and see all the stylish things she has been making with her bold fabrics. Jeni also has a fascinating pinterest board that shows not only her Geometric Bliss collection but also all the vintage inspirations behind it.

6. FABRICS - monaluna westwood

I love the colours and prints on this new fabric collection from Monaluna. Called 'Westwood' the range of ten prints have a sophisticated woodland theme with toadstools, deer, and pine trees. The organic fabrics were all designed by Jennifer Moore, who set up Monaluna with her husband as a small, independant fabric company in 2010. 7. FABRICS - elizabeth olwen : wildwood

I saw so many great fabrics at Cloud9 that I had to roll some over from yesterday until today. Wildwood by Elizabeth Olwen launched in September and was inspired by Elizabeth's walks in the woods discovering the flora and fauna of the forest floor. There are six prints which can all be found online here.

8. CHRISTMAS FABRIC - amy king

More Christmas designs today - this time in the shape of a lovely new print collection by Amy King. They were created for Amy's popular Spoonflower shop and be found as fabrics online here. Amy is originally from London but currently works as a freelance designer in New York specialising mainly in children's design.

9. FABRICS - dashwood stuido

Fly Away is a new Dashwood Studio collection designed by Phyllida Coroneo. 10. FABRICS - dashwood studio pt.2

The second Autumn release from Dashwood Studio is Cuckoos Calling by Bethan Janine. Bethan wanted to design something bright and colourful for her second Dashwood collection and was inspired by a cuckoo clock her grandmother had brought from Switzerland. For the flowers Bethan used sketches she had made whilst on holiday in Sweden. Cuckooos Calling is in fabric stores now and can be seen online

11. FABRICS - miriam bos

Today's posts all feature forthcoming collections from Birch Fabrics, starting with this wonderful range of prints by Miriam Bos. Called Wild Land, after the grassy plains of North America  its a Native American inspired collection with painted horses and teepees. There are eight patterns available in different colours which can be seen online here.

Acorn Trail is the new textile collection from Birch Fabrics by Teagan White, and is a follow up to her Fort Firefly collection and picks up again with some of its characters and motifs. The forest themed designs can be found on poplin, canvas, knit, and voile and there is even a cut and sew panel so you can make your own character softies. 15. NEW FABRICS - josephine kimberling

We have been looking at new releases from Blend Fabrics this week and today we have a beautiful new Riding Hood collection by Josephine Kimberling due for release this November. 16. JAPANESE - moomin fabrics

I am loving these official Moomin fabrics spotted on the web this week. The "Moomin Tribute Works" collection have been produced in Japan by Quarter Report. Finnish author Tove Jansson's Moomin characters are very popular in Japan, as they are all over the world. 17. JAPANESE - spia

Talking of things Japanese I also came across a really nice print called 'Twinkle' (above and below) from Osaka based company Spia (Fine Co. ltd). Spia have a selection of colourful patterns which are used on bags, purses, gadget cases, etc. Here are some of the highlights with more online here.

18. LATEST WORK - sarah watts

Sarah Watts has designed some fabulous canvases for Oopsy Daisy some featuring woodland creatures on stylish a woodgrain background, and others with a fresh nautical feel. 19. FABRICS - cloud9 2015 previews

I wanted to take a sneak peak at what fabric company Cloud9 have in store for 2015. There will be new collections from Eloise Renouf and Skinny La Minx, as well as exciting designs from Michelle Engel Bencsko, Elizabeth Olwen, Rae Hoekstra, Avril Loreti and Gennine. 20. FABRICS - jessica jones : time warp

Staying with Cloud9 Fabrics I wanted to post some of their latest releases. The first is a mid century style collection by Jessica Jones which is released this month. Not only do the colour palettes have a retro flavour but they are also printed on barkcloth for a vintage feel. There are four prints available Sunburst, Quadrant, Loop and Ripple and you find them all online here.

22. FABRICS - michele brummer everett

The final Cloud9 collection today is Cosmic Convoy by Michele Brummer Everett which went on sale in October 2014. This space themed range features six prints with robsots, little astronauts, aliens and a super cute pattern featuring the moon.
