I wanted to pick out a few of the new fabrics being released by Andover in 2015. The first is this super cute dog collection called 'Patch' designed by the Makower Studio which will be on sale in September 2015. Art Gallery Fabrics have listed some of their forthcoming collections for 2015, and showcased them at the Quilt Fair this week. One of those that really appealed to me was Playing Pop. Legendary designer Sarah Campbell has created a fabric collection called ‘Melodies’, produced with the US company Michael Miller. It features super colourful, painterly birds, leaves, florals, spots, dots, and geos. Erin Mcmorris has released a new fabric collection with FreeSpirit Fabric called Distrikt. Inspired by Erin's trips to Scandinavia the patterns feature graphic prints on themes such as people watching, cobbled streets and urban gardens. Another fabric design that I have recently spotted is the cheaters quilt design by Saffron Craig. The print is from her Valley View collection which was inspired by the secret beauty of Australia's many breathtaking valley’s while paying homage to folk art, cross stitch and patch work designs. The latest Lotta Jansdotter range for Windham Fabrics was released at the end of 2014 but I never got around to posting it at the time. Its a fabulous collection of graphic prints inspired by gatherings and mealtimes and using techniques such woodcuts. Art Gallery fabrics have welcomed a new designer into their licensed artists team - Caroline Hulse. Known as Sew Caroline she was selected by Art Gallery Fabrics to be a part of their inaugural project AGF Limited Edition, where she designed a fabric collection called Gleeful (posted here), which was released in July 2014. Called Wild Land, after the grassy plains of North America its a Native American inspired collection with painted horses and teepees. The latest release from the fabulous UK fabric company Dashwood Studio is 'Suffolk Garden' by Brie Harrison. The collection of eight designs was inspired by Brie's family home back in Suffolk, starting with sketches for the dandelion print and building the range up from there. So it was a great to read Jeni's blog and see all the stylish things she has been making with her bold fabrics. I love the colours and prints on this new fabric collection from Monaluna. Called 'Westwood' the range of ten prints have a sophisticated woodland theme with toadstools, deer, and pine trees. Also catching my eye for January 2015 is this new fabric collection by Melody Miller for Cotton + Steel. Inspired by games and toys it features such prints as Backgammon, Jacks, Wordfind, Memory, and Bowling. Plus of course one of Melody's signature motifs the Viewfinder, and a co-ordinating floral. Yesterday we saw a new fabric collection from Windham called A Nod to Mod and whilst I was looking at Windham's I also spotted '8 days a week'. This bold graphic set of prints by the Ampersand Design Studio features a calendar theme with days of the week, months of the year, numbers, a blank calendar and celebration icons.
