The above is a card my son and I made for his dear cousin. Today I am thankful for things big and little: my family, friends, health, home, my work, construction paper, tracing-hand turkeys, time to spend with my little son making art together.
Wherever you are, whatever you are eating, and whomever you are with, I hope you are happy, healthy, and thankful for all that makes you smile.

Get your notebooks out. Families can provide lots of juicy content for a future book. Take some notes for later use.
Write down as much as you can about the kitchen, the smells, the kids, the food, the interactions between members of the family, the way they are dressed and stories told around the table.
It doesn’t matter what type of book you are writing, the day is ripe with material for a book.
If you are planning on going out on Black Friday to get a jump on your holiday shopping, remember buying a book is a wonderful gift on so many levels.
Not only will it bring entertainment and joy to the person receiving the book, but it will help sustain our industry and help out a fellow writer or illustrator.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday and for those of you who can manage to get off the couch......get me another serving of leftovers, will ya?
This is the most beautiful TV ad ever. I don't how many times I've watched it, but I laugh and cry every single time. It's a little something to get you into that holiday spirit and to remind ourselves of the beautiful and important things in life.
This Thanksgiving we have to be thankful for many things.

Online Literary Auction, starting November 28th, to raise money to fight hunger. Authors, illustrators, and artists from around the New England area have contributed works, and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to this worthy cause.
