The drawings have all been transferred to the final paper. Yay! 3o of them. 22 individual illustrations and 4 spreads.
I'm doing the art on white Stonehenge. In theory, this should be the easiest part ~ "just" sitting and coloring. But you know you have to make all sorts of decisions in the final art, like you do when you're drawing the art out to start with, but different.
I don't have time to do elaborate color or value roughs for this. I'm going to do a few sample doodles, then just go for it. Wish me luck.

In other news, I deleted all my accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and LinkedIn. I'd forgotten I even had accounts on Myspace or Twitter ~ I must have signed on to look at someone else's profile, or something. I can now say I tried them, that I tried to be modern and 'hooked up' like whatever everyone else is doing right now. But the truth is they don't do anything for me. I looked at Facebook once in a blue moon, and like I said, forgot I even had the others. So if you were a 'friend' or 'contact' or whatever on any of those, I'm sorry.
I got to wondering about how many of these sites are going to spring up before people just can't keep up with them all anymore. You know? I imagine it will be like some big cosmic cyberspace balloon of social networking that just keeps getting bigger, and bigger, until it gets too big for itself and bursts. Or maybe one gigantic corporate conglomerate like a cyber Walmart will take over and there will just be ONE hub that everyone plugs into every day. How weird would that be?
This is what too much time on a lightbox will do to you...

Since MTV's Top 20 Video Countdown shaped my teen years in a much more profound way than MTV's "Total Request Live," I thought I would share an insightful reflection from the editors of The Daily Trojan, USC's newspaper.

it will probably end up being one giant hub that people can go to and see everything. Some of the sites work well for some people others not so much. I only have a facebook to play games on :p
but I am addicted to Twitter lol
Ha, ha, ha. I don't get all the electronic social networking either. Who has the TIME?? I guess it might be easier for people who sit at their computers for work all day; but for those of us who need to stay at their drawing boards, it is nothing but a massively time-eating distraction. E-mail and a couple of message boards are more than enough for me.
Awesome that you are able to do ALL of the transferring at once--that's a little more assembly-line efficient than I can manage. I go crazy doing all of one thing at a time.
