YouTube star Connor Franta has inked a book deal. The Internet celebrity revealed the news in the above YouTube video yesterday and tweeted it out to his audience of 20.5K followers.
Franta’s memoir Common Culture is due out from Atria/Keywords Press next month. In the book the teen talks about his “Midwestern upbringing as one of four children in the home and one of five in the classroom; his struggles with identity, body image, and sexuality in his teen years; and his decision to finally pursue his creative and artistic passions in his early twenties, setting up his thrilling career as a YouTube personality, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and tastemaker.”
Amazon presales are going well. The book is already No. 1 in “Memoirs”, ahead of American Sniper. The book also lead the “Satire” category, in the “Actors & Entertainers” category, as well as in the “Humor” category.

Seriously, this girl is hard worker – and gifted with many gifts, including the gift of tenacity. Just months ago, she sat…
Donna,
Lots of artistic talent in your house. Way to go, 17, and growing more artistic every day. Congrats!
Donna, your daughter is very talented! I hope she has a very happy 17th bday! I am always so amazed by people who can draw like that. My daughter loves to draw Manga characters and I can’t draw a straight line with a ruler! :)
Color me IMPRESSED!! Is she creating stories to go with these amazing drawings? Looks like talent runs in your family big time!
THank you!! She is working really hard to create a portfolio for college in two years. She’ll be taking an honor’s art class starting next week. She’s never had any formal training for drawing, so I’m really impressed with how hard she’s worked to get to the level she is. Gifted… and hard working! :)
Really great talent and potential!
Katie, these are wonderful!!!! Keep at it, girl! :) Hope you had a fabulous birthday!!!
