"But the secrets behind Ali's death aren't the only things haunting them. 'New A,' the mystery person who seems to know all their secrets, is still sending the girls threatening text messages: even though they thought they were done with A when Hanna's former best friend and the 'original A,' Mona Vanderwaal, is killed at the end of book four, Unbelievable, when she falls off a cliff into Floating Man's Quarry. This new A, however, might actually be helping the girls piece together the puzzle- seeing as she keeps sending them cryptic clues and pictures that relate to Ali and her murder.
"Meanwhile, Aria has decided to move in with her father and his now-pregnant girlfriend, Meredith. Even when they transition to a house frighteningly close to the woods where Ali died, Aria decides that it's better than staying with her mother, Ella and having to deal with Ella's new boyfriend, Xavier, who seems to be interested in her. After running into Ali's older brother Jason, she starts spending more time with him- though judging by her messages, A Add a Comment

I love my job! The copy editor questioned whether one character could shove another character's dead body under the sink. So I climbed in to prove it. It's a tight fit, but a dead person is not going to grumble.

Are serial killers on the decline? Slate seems to think so, both in actual fact and in the popular imagination.
However, since serial killers often prey on people who are seldom missed (the homeless/prostitutes), just because we don’t know if they are out there doesn’t mean they aren’t. Look at the the four women whose bodies were recently found near Long Island. Until they were found, no one knew a serial killer was on the loose.
I will say I am tired of books where serial killers have increasingly bizarre targets (like brides) or bizarre ways of killing them (like encasing them in life-sized sculptures). Real life isn’t nearly so cinematic. It’s usually ugly and brutal and sad.

Today, Olivia reviews Killer, the sixth book in the Pretty Little Liars series, by Sara Shepard *Spoiler alert: secrets of other books in the series are revealed in this review!*:
"In the sixth installment of the Pretty Little Liars series: Killer, relationships are strained and nothing is as it seems in picturesque Rosewood, Pennsylvania. The nightmare continues for high school juniors Aria, Hanna, Spencer, and Emily, after their best friend Alison DiLaurentis was found murdered in her own backyard years after she went missing at the end of the seventh grade. Spencer's sister's boyfriend, Ian, is arrested for the murder after evidence is found that links him to a clandestine meeting in the woods with Ali the night that she died. At first, Rosewood considers the tragic case closed. But after Ian mysteriously disappears before his trial after somehow escaping his house arrest and telling Spencer that he's innocent, the girls don't know what to think- especially after finding his dead body in the woods, which later disappears before the police can find it at the end of the fifth novel, Wicked.

Jason, the mysterious killer, in the Friday the 13th series is truly an evil monster. He kills without a conscience. Here are ten things that you shouldn’t say to Jason if you ever come across him:
- Would you like to play in a pick up hockey game?
- Your knife looks a little dull. Do you mind if I sharpen it for you?
- Have you seen my son Freddie around? He’s always getting into trouble. He’s not the sharpest kid on the block.
- You look like your dressed to kill. You sure are the strong and silent type.
- Man are you ugly. And your breath could kill an elephant.
- Do you have an axe to grind with someone? Next thing you know you’ll be waving around a chainsaw.
- Are you a reject from Camp Crystal Lake or are you one of the counselors?
- Would you like to date my sister? She’s almost as ugly as you are.
- You better stay out of the water. Otherwise, you’ll catch the death of a cold.
- Did anyone ever tell you that it is impolite to carry a bloody ax inside the house? You could leave stains on the carpet.

Armstrong veers away from the supernatural and into the world of professional killers. Nadia, a retired police officer, is now a professional hitwoman. She has learned much from Jack. So when he asks her to help him track down a serial killer that has the country up in arms, she agrees. Soon she will be delving deeper into the underground world of professional killers while trying to track a deadly killer (who looks more and more like he is in the same profession as her). Though not as entertaining as the Women of the Otherworld series, this new series certainly has action.
