5. Nat Wolff & Bryan Cranston Join The ‘In Dubious Battle’ Movie Cast

Nat WolffFilmmaker and actor James Franco has assembled a cast of high-profile actors for his adaptation of John Steinbeck’s In Dubious Battle.

Paper Towns star Nat Wolff (pictured, via) has landed the lead role of Jim Nolan. Other actors who have signed on for this project include John Savage, Selena Gomez, Vincent D’Onofrio, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston, Sam Shepard, Danny McBride, and Franco himself.

Here’s more from Deadline: “The story takes place, of course, during a time in this country when employees were organizing into unions or trying to fight for better treatment and wages from their employers. The same year Steinbeck’s story takes place, the Steelworkers union was founded, as was the Textile union.” (via Entertainment Weekly)

6. 3 Actors Join the ‘Paper Towns’ Cast

paper townsThree actors have joined the cast for the Paper Towns movie adaptation. Austin Abrams, Halston Sage, and Justice Smith will portray Ben, Lacey, and Radar.

These characters share a friendship with the lead protagonist Quentin (played by Nat Wolff). The story, based on John Green’s popular young adult novel, follows Quentin and his buddies who embark on a journey after a classmate named Margo (played by Cara Delevinge) mysteriously disappears.

Back in March, Green announced that he would take on the role of executive producer. The Wrap reports that Scott Neustadter, Michael H. Weber, Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, and Isaac Klausner will all serve as producers for this project. Neustadter and Weber are also working on the screenplay together.

7. John Green to Serve as Executive Producer For ‘Paper Towns’ Film Adaptation

paper townsLast night, young adult novelist John Green announced on Twitter and Facebook that Fox 2000 has acquired the film rights to his 2008 book, Paper Towns.

Green confirmed that the screenwriters and producers behind The Fault in Our Stars movie will reunite for this adaptation project. He also revealed that he will serve as an executive producer so “if you don’t like something, you can blame me.”

Nat Wolff, the actor who plays Isaac in The Fault in Our Stars, sent out a tweet that he is “excited” have the lead role in Paper TownsDeadline reports that “Paper Towns takes place in Orlando, but this is far from a Disney World ride. The protagonist is Quentin, a young man who shared a jarring experience with his neighbor Margo: They found a man who committed suicide.”
