1. Happy Birthday Son…

38 years ago I gave birth to a son

At the age of six he came home from school and quoted John 3:16.During his elementary years, he loved learning and adored his sisters. In High School, he lost his way. All along, he always told me how much he loved me. I began to pray in a totally different way. I stood in the gap. As Christ stands before the throne, I stood holding on to the cross.I will never let go! For in the power of the cross came forgiveness, deliverance, healing and restoration for my beloved son.I now look forward to the years ahead.God will restore the years that the locust stole.Im so proud of the man he has become.
Thank you son ,
Mom

2. Inspirational Sunday

I have a "Letters from God" journal where I keep any promise of God I come across in the Bible. These promises bring me so much comfort, especially when I remember that God has never gone back on a promise and He never will. Never. So for Inspirational Sunday, I'd like to post those promises. May they bring you as much comfort as they have brought me.

Letter #1

My child,

Are you tired? Weary? Weak? Then put your hope in Me. I will give you strength when you are weary and power when you are weak. If you are tired, I will renew your strength. You will soar like eagles. You will run without growing weary and walk without growing faint. All you need to do is put your trust in Me.

Love, your Father
(Isaiah 40:29,31)

My Father,

Yes, I am tired, weary, and weak. I don't have the energy to go on. But I thank you that I can find my strength in You. You have promised that, if I put my hope in You, I will be strengthened and given power. Thank you for giving me eagle's wings. Thank you for giving me the strength to go on. Thank you for allowing to run and walk this race called life without growing weary or faint. Thank you!

Love, Your princess

3. The Fairy Tale Gospel

As I write Dreams and Fantasies Untold, I experience the
many spiritual mysteries unveiling. Christian Fantasy is amazing!

Deeper than our deepest longings, fairy tales tell truths about our inner and outer world, truths that are either too obvious for modern men or too truthful. Take, for instance, Little Red Riding Hood. It affirms that the world is dangerous, that there is an evil wolf that will eat us up if given the chance. Yet there is also a huntsman who can slay the wolf and save us. The great themes of sin and redemption are encapsulated in such a story in a clever and deeply symbolic way.

It’s All About the Good News

GK Chesterton said that the deepest truth about fairy tales was not that dragons exist, but that they can be beaten. Who doesn’t see the bad news about dragons? They lurk all around us in our broken world. It’s the good news of their…

4. In God we trust

tinaserrano:

We all have God given talents.God will always make it possible to do what he has gifted us to do if we really want his will in our lives.
We need to discover what our gifts and talents are and put them to work.God has given us the ability make choices. Choose to seek him first then all else will follow!

security

One of the deepest human needs is to have a sense of security. All of us want to feel like we’re on solid ground. The real issue however, is where we seek that security from. I’m working through Proverbs and Proverbs 10:15 says…

The wealth of the rich is their fortified city, but poverty is the ruin of the poor.

This proverb is very interesting. I’m not going to pretend that I fully understand the intent of the author, but I do have some ideas. In some ways, wealth can be a fortified city. There is no denying the fact that having significant financial resources provides a certain amount of buffer between you and the storms of life. That being said, monetary wealth does not equate to security in life. The reason for this is that wealth can go away. Now more so than ever people understand that the economy…
