Product - Lunch Bag; purple and green lunch bag with handle
About - I am an athlete turned crafter. I competed in track and field all through college and pursued a coaching career post graduation. After a year in NYC coaching for Columbia, I was looking for a change. I left the city for the country and haven't looked back. I began sewing in 2010 as a hobby along side our working farm. In 2011, I began to take my passion more seriously and created Ruby Alice Designs!
Two years in, I take pride in creating custom handbags that meet the needs of each individual client. Since the Development of Ruby Alice Designs, I have expanded my custom designs and started an Etsy Shop, as well as home decor sewing.
We have entered the season of back to school shopping! It's that time when Mother's are running around buying new clothes and school supplies for their beloved kiddos. This year, Ruby Alice Designs wants to make the lunch box hunt a bit easier on you. We create a washable, durable, easy to carry lunch bag for the youngest school goers out there. Our lunch bag design is derived from the classic brown bag. The handle on the top make the bag easy to carry and the magnetic closure keeps food secure. Constructed from cotton and reinforced with a durable batting these bags can hold up to any day at school.
In Ruby Alice form, any of our lunch bags can be made in any child's favorite colors, or fabric of your choice.
Support Handmade - This lunch bag retails for $35. There are also a variety of different bags available on her etsy page starting at just $20. You can receive

Store Feature - Loralyn Designs - http://www.etsy.com/shop/LoralynDesigns
Product - Simple Stainless Steel Pendant Necklace
About - My name is Laura King, I am a true New England-er being born, raised and still living in Massachusetts, USA . I am thankful to have had a mom that encouraged crafting and creativity from an early age. She taught me the beauty of handmade items from sewing to painting and drawing, gift wrapping, jewelry making, and home decorations. At age 8, I was selling my jewelry door to door (OK, I was selling my fashion plate color drawings too). At 13, my mom invited me to join her in selling my 3D plastic canvas Christmas ornaments. I remember being awestruck by my mom and the fact that she was willing to sell my items next to hers. Funny, I still have a few of those ornaments I put on my tree every year.
I branched out to woodworking and home improvement projects in my 20s. Love my workbench! Now in my late 30s, I have discovered a new passion with metal crafts. Combining all my past experiences and hobbies together is how Loralyn Designs was born.
In April 2012, Loralyn Designs was invited to join The Artisan Group. The private group, founded by Valerie Guerrero, brings talented artists opportunities to design products for celebrities, awards shows and TV shows. Since joining, we have been featured in the guides for the Country Music Awards and the Oscars and had the amazing good fortune to gift Tyra Banks. Our proudest achievement to date is designing a necklace for The Vampire Diaries which was worn by Galen Vaughn, a Vampire Hunter played by Charlie Bewley in episode that aired in February 2013!

About - I enjoy creating beauty from everyday objects. You might see something and only see this mundane in it, but I see something more powerful. I enjoy every time that I make a piece that turns out to be unrecognizable to then hear those around
me wonder, not if I made it, but what unusual thing it is. And then the joy that is felt when they as well see the beauty that is in the object that they have seen many times before but never cared to really see it.
Most of my items are either found as I go about my day either on the ground or in the garbage. Some are from items I have had that have become obsolete. However, the main jewelry findings, such as the claps, earrings studs, and most of the chains, are either bought from a trusted findings dealer, or made myself. I am always trying to find ways to make the jewelry out of more sustainable products than they already are.

I'm so excited to tell you guys about this weeks Close 2 Home Feature. it's only June and I now have found the perfect present for both my mother and my mother in law. So without further adieu -
Store Feature - MadebyMaggieMae
About - I am a SAHM to two cute kiddos. When I had my first child( a girl) I decided I wanted to learn how to sew her cute clothes. From there, the crafting bug hit me full force and I love everything from jewelry making to sewing to holiday decor projects to my new passion, family artwork. I found this site: www.twinstitchers.com that has embroidery patterns. I do NOT have the patience for embroidery so I drew it instead and started giving them as gifts. I LOVE homemade gifts! As I started giving the family trees and birthstone bracelets out as presents people kept telling me I should sell them, so here I am trying to sell them!
My Thoughts - I LOVE this shop! When I fist saw these online, I thought they were really cute but was a bit overwhelmed. Having to pick the face, hair color, and style of each person on my picture seemed like a lot of pressure - there were so many options and I didn't want to mess things up.
In the end it was as simple as saying "Grandma Lofley - G5 Head - Brown Hair." It was easy to do, but I spent a looong time doing it. I really wanted everyone to look right.
We got our finished picture within days. And the highest praise I can give is to say that when my husband opened the package he looked at it intently for a few seconds. Then he said, "I like that. I really like that."
Considering the picture is crafty, girly, and cute all at the same time, that's saying a lot.
I love the finished product. The characters are adorable and really reflect the personality and style of the person they were modeled after.
I like that the drawing is done on muslin. It adds that extra interest and makes the picture perfect to hang. We haven't bought a frame yet, so it's hanging on our door on a hanger, but it will go up soon.

Reversible Cloth Headband
About - I'm a part-time, professional floral designer and a full-time crafter. When I'm not designing something, I thinking of things to design (be it sculptures, photographs, accessories, flowers, the list is endless)! I've been crafting for as long as I can possibly remember; growing up, my mother always had some creative thing around the house for me to entertain myself with. My headbands and matching hair clips are among my most favorite things to create. These headbands are perfect for children and adults. The flowers can be worn clipped either to the band, in your hair... there are too many options to list. The great thing about these bands is that they are reversible! It's like getting two for one! Due to the handmade nature of this product, you will find some variances in size that will not affect the performance of the headband. Flowers are secured to salon-quality hair clips and are sewn completely by hand (with the help of my trusty sewing machine, or course). I am always happy to do custom designs and strive to meet the needs of guests to my shop.
Support Handmade - The Headbands retail for just $13.00, and would be perfect for any little girl.

About - Hi my name is Michelle :-) I am a stay at home Mom who loves to craft! I have always loved working with wood and painting on wood. I also love scroll sawing:-) I started making Nativity puzzles about 6 years ago. If you look around you will find several versions of this type of puzzle are out there, but I did not like how the other versions of this puzzle were kind of hokey looking, so I decided with the help of my very talented brother to revamp it to my taste :-) I used to paint the whole puzzle, but this last year I started trying my hand at wood burning. I decided to try it on my puzzles and it really gave them a nice folk art look and that made all the difference! My sales in my Etsy shop went way up from previous years. This puzzle is by far my most sold item in my shop:-)

I love May. To me it means nice weather. mothers day,the end of a school year, and spring cleaning. It might sound crazy, but I love going through the house and cleaning stuff out. It's the perfect chance to redecorate and make little changes in a room that make a big difference.
One of the easiest ways to make a change is Vinyl wall decals from LeoWall Stickers.
Leo Stickers is an Italian based company that specializes in fun and easy to apply kids wall stickers. All you do is put the sticker on a clean, dry wall, and use the plastic squeege to smooth out the bubbles. After a few minutes you have a newly decorated room. You can check out step by step information
here!
We received an Under the Sea Mini Kit, and my kids love them! The kit contains
We have vinyl clings in both kids bedrooms, and in our bathroom and the Leo Stickers were by far the easiest to apply. They went right on without any problem, and the included Squeege made it easy to work out the bubbles.
We placed ours over our bathroom shower to carry on the Aquatic Theme we have going on. I think they look adorable.

Hi everyone! We Kathy & Aris, we are a couple and we run together the Etsy shop. We are 20 and 26 years old respectively and we live in Athens, Greece.
We started in 2010 making jewelry and sell them locally until in 2011 we found Etsy.com and started our shop.

The product featured is our newest design from this category - a necklace/choker named "Ernelia".
A majestic metal choker featuring a red rose cameo on the center. It is accompanied by three red tear drops and wonderful filigree designs.

Store Feature - Handbound Books by Cathy Durso - http://cathydurso.etsy.com
Handbound journals, notebooks, and sketchbooks, and custom made boxes and portfolios
About - My handbound books are all put together completely by my own hands. I design the look and feel of each book individually, deciding what materials will work together to make a beautiful, unique item, then cut, stitch, and glue the materials together by hand.
I took a bookbinding class as an undergraduate and was instantly hooked! I love the process and working through each step to create beautiful, unique books. Since that first class, I have continued to explore bookbinding techniques and grow in my craft. My own ideas and the custom orders I get through my Etsy shop are always giving me new creative challenges, which is very exciting and rewarding!
Everyone has a use for journals, notebooks, and sketchbooks, whether they like to write, draw, doodle, jot, or list. It's nice to be able to put your thoughts and ideas down in a one-of-a-kind, well-crafted, handmade book.

Store Feature - HollyByGollie - http://www.etsy.com/shop/hollybygollie
My name is Holly, HollyByGollie, and I create beaded key chains and bookmarks in my little log cabin studio in the high desert of Northern Arizona. HollyByGollie was a childhood nickname that seemed a perfect name for my business.
I’m addicted to beads, sometimes I love to sit in my studio and just look at all the colors of beads, holding them up to the window and let the light beam through. I can waste away an afternoon quite easily.
When I’m not playing with my beads, I am also a church office manager, motorcycle passenger, cook, doodler, and spending my time enjoying life with my husband and two dogs, Daisy and Dash.
I'm giving away this pretty blue and green beaded key chain. This is one of my favorite key chains. Its blues and greens remind me of the sea so I’ve added a starfish charm. These make great little gifts for family, friends, teachers, or co-workers... and great giveaways!

Store Feature - Red Morning Studios - http://www.etsy.com/shop/redmorningstudios
I began Red Morning Studios as a creative outlet to my soul-sucking cubicle job. What started as sporadic crafting in the dining room has turned into a full fledge business venture with my own "office." However, the only spare room in the house was affectionately known as the cat's room. Therefore, she begrudgingly gave up her room (read: was kicked and locked out) and the cat room became the sewing room.
I love designing new products. My most recent product line was fabric lanyard ID badge holders/keychains. I got the idea while trying to find a use for the long strips of fabric that are left over after making my Kindle and Nook cases.
The featured product is a black and white flowered zipper pouch (http://www.etsy.com/listing/89339183/zipper-pouch-or-change-purse-black-and).
Zipper pouches were one of the first products I learned to make, and are still one of my favorites due to the wonderful variety of patterns and fabrics available. This black and white flowered pattern receives a lot of attention for it's design, but there are more patterns available in my store (http://www.etsy.com/shop/redmorningstudios).
