The Thor franchise has been sort of the “runt of the litter” for Marvel Studios, without a real guiding hand like The Russo Bros. or (at the time) Jon Favreau to steer that series of films, they’ve basically coasted on the great chemistry between Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston and not a lot else…though pecs […]
The Avengers actor Tom Hiddleston (pictured, via) has been cast as country singer Hank Williams in a biopic entitled I Saw the Light.
Marc Abraham serves as both the director and the screenwriter for this project. The story for this adaptation project comes from the book Hank Williams: The Biography by Colin Escott, George Merritt, and William MacEwen. Little Brown first released this nonfiction title back in 1994.

Williams was born in 1923 in Alabama and broke out in the post-World War II era with the song 'Move It on Over.' Among his hits are 'Lost Highway,' 'Jumbalaya (on the Bayou),' 'Ramblin' Man,' 'You Win Again' and 'Lovesick Blues.'" What do you think?
