1. Mara Dyer 2 Title Revealed!

Today, the always awesome Michelle Hodkin revealed the title of her highly anticipated sequel to The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer over on her blog.

Drumroll please....

THE EVOLUTION OF MARA DYER

I LOVE this title. It raises so many questions, and suggests that Mara is going to become an even more complex, strong and driven heroine. There are so many aspects of Mara that could be evolving, but I suspect the title will come to have a new and unexpected meaning once we finally get our hands on the book! I can't wait to see the cover they come up with for this one!

According to Michelle, the release date hasn't been confirmed and there's no official synopsis out there yet -- so if you see one, it's probably inaccurate. Keep an eye on Michelle's blog for more details as they're available!

If you haven't read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer yet, now is a good time to start so you'll be ready when book 2 hits shelves!

The only traces left of Cammie’s summer vacation are the bruises on her body and the dirt under her nails, and all she wants is to go home.

Once she returns to school, however, Cammie realizes that even the Gallagher Academy now holds more questions than answers. Cammie, her friends, and mysterious spy-guy Zach must face their most difficult challenge yet as they travel to the other side of the world, hoping to piece together the clues that Cammie left behind. It’s a race against time. The Circle is hot on their trail and willing stop at nothing to prevent Cammie from remembering what she did last summer.

I loved the Heist Society books, and I've been meaning to read this series for ages. It sounds really cute -- to match its cute cover!

I think this cover is really beautiful. The rose petals she's laying on, her elaborately curled hair and that gorgeous, gorgeous dress all evoke the romance of the story, while the black rose in her hand, and the contrast of the black on her dress with the red of the rose petals gives it a kind of Gothic feel. It's also a nice inversion of the first book's cover -- which had black roses and a red dress. I'm not crazy about the title though -- it just doesn't quite have that ring to it, you know?

What do you think? Does this make you want to read the series? Have you read Falling Under? I need to! I've heard it's really good.

Here's the Falling Under cover for comparison:

5. Cover Art Revealed: The Nightmare Garden (Iron Codex #2) by Caitlin Kittredge

Caitlin Kittredge recently revealed the cover art for The Nightmare Garden, sequel to The Iron Thorn. Check it out:

Coming February 14, 2012!

Everything Aoife thought she knew about the world was a lie. There is no Necrovirus. And Aoife isn't going to succomb to madness because of a latent strain—she will lose her faculties because she is allergic to iron. Aoife isn't human. She is a changeling—half human and half from the land of Thorn. And time is running out for her.

When Aoife destroyed the Lovecraft engine she released the monsters from the Thorn Lands into the Iron Lands and now she must find a way to seal the gates and reverse the destruction she's ravaged on the world that's about to poison her.

I LOVE this cover. It's so dark and haunting and striking -- just like the first book's. I also really like that Aoife looks older on this cover, and more in control. You can tell time has passed and she's come a long way. She actually looks like someone I know, which is a little bizarre haha. I've been intrigued by this series since I first heard about The Iron Thorn -- it's sitting on my bookshelf; I need to read it soon!

What do you think of the new cover? Here's the first book for comparison:

I personally love it. It fits well with the first title, and I can totally see Tris leading a rebel army.

Have you read Divergent? What do you think of the sequel title?
