Hey, it's Wordless Wednesday, one of my favorite memes that I discovered on Comedy Plus, one of my favorite blogs. Wordless Wednesday is fun and a great way to meet new friends. If you wish to participate just publish a photo that conveys a message without using any words.
After you've posted your photo add your name to the link list on Sandee's blog, (Comedy Plus) where you can also copy the Mister Linky's Code and paste it below your photo. Have fun and thank you for visiting A Nice Place In The Sun.
Thanks, again for visiting, I appreciate you. :)

I discovered Wordless Wednesday from my friend Sandee of Comedy Plus, and I immediately loved it. It's fun and interesting because you post a photo that conveys a message without using words.
The image speaks for itself whether its a photo capturing a moment in our lives or a cartoon imitating us being ourselves. After posting your image or photo, copy and paste your link beneath Sandee's post on Comedy Plus' list of links then post Mister Linky's code beneath your photo and we'll share the same links. Here's Sandee's link to the code.
Wordless Wednesday is a simple visual blog post featuring a photo or image that speaks for itself without using words.
It's a great way to meet blogging buddies and to express yourself through images, photos or illustration.
You can find Wordless Wednesday's code on Comedy Plus, and link up with other participants listed on Mr. Linky's Magical Widgets below. Just hit "Read More." It's fun!
Alright, I know, but I had to add this one...

Tish, you made my day :D Glad these guys brightened your day. I was on an excursion with my daughters to Santa Cruz island over the weekend. We saw these dolphins on our way back from a day of kayaking and snorkeling. I love the magic of nature!

That must have made your day, too. I love the way dolphins cruise beside boats, as if to say: we do it better.

Yes! They were fun to watch and they swam much faster than we sailed:)
You know how sometimes the perfect quote comes along at the perfect time? When I read this a few weeks back it breathed new life into me. This quote made it very clear that I am exactly where I need to be. I hadn’t been paying attention to my own bliss for a very, very long time. Life is too short to give your bliss away. Are you following yours?
I’ll announce THE STORYTELLERS giveaway winners tomorrow….

The official title of the topic this week is : Dos & Don’ts. But I’m not a big believer in laying out hard and fast rules about blogging. I think blogging is just an extension of what’s important to a blogger. For me that’s storytelling. I also love to blog about magic in the everyday experiences of life just as I enjoy writing from a magical/fantastical perspective. I like the feeling of leaving reality behind…when I can
There are so many magical every day things that I take for granted. My last Wordless Wednesday post featured a photo I took when I visited the International Rose Garden in Portland, OR, a city I’ve gotten to know a bit over the past few years. Stopping to smell the roses is big with me. Literally. I love a sweet smelling rose. I rarely find them in florists’ shops any more. Somebody told me once that roses have been so cultivated for color and longevity that they cultivated the smell right out of them. So when I come upon a beautiful, sweet smelling rose it’s magical to me.
I have regular features on Laurasmagicday and occasional ones. On the Monday Muse I post what’s inspired me lately and invite people to share what’s inspired them to help raise our creative vibrations together. Wordless Wednesday is another regular feature. It’s wordless, it’s Wednesday, usually a cool pic from the previous week that I enjoy and want to share. Starting next week, I’m starting another regular feature on Thursdays where I highlight book trailers or other multimedia things from the book world that I love. I’m really excited about this new feature because I love any and everything that enhances the reading experience. Fridays are usually dedicated to The YA Authors Club, where posts either highlight a topic in the world of book publishing/marketing, or spotlight an author that my readers may not yet know about. Occasionally I’ll have teasers, book releases, author interviews, guest posts, etc. They all help to spice up the pot of inspiration and connect my readers with new authors and novels.
But, enough about Laurasmagicday, are you a seasoned blogger or new blogger with some tips/suggestions/advice ? I’d love to know your take. Have you thought about blogging, but don’t know where to start? I’d love to hear from you too. Ask anything you like and we can get you started today. The only advice I have is to have a good time and follow your heart… <3
If you’re interested in discovering some new authors/reads, there’s a virtual book fair this weekend. Click here to stop by and check it out, there’s giveaways and lots and lots of teasers
HAPPY FRIDAY! Check out what the other authors in the YA Author Club have to say about blogging.
Wow gorgeous picture! Is it ok if I participate in your wordless Wednesday Meme? I will do it next week and spend all week searching for the perfect picture.

Yes, many times it is best to just listen …. (I agree!)

Very cool picture. A picture is worth a thousand words as the saying goes.
Laura A. H. Elliott said, on 7/17/2013 10:32:00 AM
True. Mostly when I think of listening, I think of having to listen to others. But these days, I’m taking some quiet time to pay attention to my own thoughts…it seems they get crowded out a lot lately. Kind of absorbed into everything and everyone else around me. Easy to “get lost” in all that.

Thanks. This little bench came in handy on a butt-busting hike I took last weekend. Boy was I happy to sit a little while here and then I noticed its message. It was almost like the universe was whispering to me to pay attention. Happy Wedensday! ~L
