Proof that cats do indeed watch television.
After his people watched the entire “Mission Impossible” weekend marathon, Miles, wanting to get “in touch” with the wild feline within and sneak up on his food, took the matter into his own hands.
If only he hadn’t miscalculated the height from the kitchen light to the floor, he’d be in kibble heaven right now!

Maggie and Buttercup were wild about tea.
The word of the week, over there at Illustration Friday is “wild,” but all I could scare up was this docile boar, so he’ll just have to do.
The prompt "Urban" made me think of Paris, which reminded me of a story I heard on the radio about french efforts to increase biodiversity in cities.
Goat lawn mowers and bees on rooftops, sign me up!

somewhere deep beneath the aquamarine waters of the sea, a gorgeous mermaid named beryl and her little fish friend, pisces, swim and frolic together endlessly :)

As time keeps rushing on, I'm checking in today with my ideas for the illustration friday topic "Swim".
The first design is in honor of
Gertrude Ederle , first woman to swim the english channel.
The retro swim suit, and a weekend visit to the pool with my seven year old, made me think of water ballet, and the kaleidoscopic patterns the swimmers create. Something to play around with in the future maybe?

A sneak peek of my upcoming book, I CAN SEE JUST FINE, due out this August and published by Abrams Appleseed. It's the story of a little girl who is absolutely certain she does not need eyeglasses... no matter what everyone else thinks.
I had to put on my strong eye glasses to actually see her in the tall blades of grass.Suddenly I could see her so clearly! She was swinging, smiling and having a wonderful time. Her name was Adora.
My submission for Illustration Friday's "EYE GLASSES" theme is a paper sculpture illustration called "A is for Adora".

This is a little sketch I drew yesterday for Illustration Friday and then added a bit of color in Photoshop.
I think I love snow so much that this image came to my paper on it's own.
Didn't you hate it when those wool sweaters and scarves used to itch when we where kids? Hehe :o)

After I finally got the Beatles song out of my head, the ideas for Illustration Friday's "yesterday" prompt just came pouring in. Does that mean I'm getting old ?
Here's a little teenager with some of yesterday's technology. I was very proud of my own walkman cassette player, and it got a lot of use...

Really cool Harry P pic, I like that it's subtle.
thanks guys! My daughter (the Harry Potter expert around here) thinks the owl should be less cute and more majestic...maybe Hedwig deserves her own drawing.
