We don't know about you, but we're wiped out. Fifteen-day parties aren't for the faint of heart, but your stamina and enthusiasm was truly something to behold! You've done this before. We can tell. So, who won the $1,500 prize, you're wondering? A hearty congratulations goes to Ivy from Gresham, Oregon! Next time you see Ivy, [...]

Whoa – I had no idea about the $1 books – and I do craft/art books, so that’s an awesome resource. Even if I’ve been shopping at Powell’s for longer than you’ve had a web presence, and have absolutely NO excuse for not knowing about the mystery books. (Of course I love the free shipping, Powell’s swag, and used books. But my credit card doesn’t!)
I like #1 and #15 best. What could be a better combo than used books and free in-store pickup. Glad I live in Portland!
The “Mystery” Books, the blog, and Powell’s in general are great!
I love the In-Store Pickup. As a user of public transportation, I really appreciate being able to find the books I want online then pick them up from a single location, rather than have to bus or mooch rides from SE Portland to Beaverton to the Airport and back. Thanks for the In-Store Pickup option!
I LOVE used and rare books and Powell’s has the best selection of both!
Used books with in-store pick up option rocks! I usually find a couple of impulse buys along the way too. Good for Powells and good for me!
The Daily Dose and Review-a-Day are just fabulous. I’ve been introduced to so many books I’d have never picked up otherwise, and I’ve been quite lucky in getting book credits for my DD reviews! Thanks for the encouragement, Powell’s!
I once got a used book from Powell’s that Amazon still hasn’t ever heard of. I was offered 10 times your selling price within the week, but I still own it. There are always lots of treasures at Powell’s, and no one’s trash!
Powell’s made my move to Portland the best move I’ve ever made. Thanks!
I like the signed editions! I made picking up books for my husband’s birthday so much more special by finding the books he wanted – autographed by his favorite authors! Powell’s is our Treasure Island. We can’t go to Portland without stopping there… Sometimes, I think we go to Portland just to GO to Powell’s. We wish we could live in Powell’s City of Books.
