This is a blog about my journeys along the road to (hopefully) finding an agent and (eventually?) publication. And a little bit of everything else.
1. NaNo Day 4: NaNo And Twitter

I love Twitter. There are many Twitter skeptics amongst my family, friends, and acquaintances, but you really can't beat it with a stick. Non-Tweeters are always like, what am I going to do? Tell people what I ate for breakfast? They just don't get it. I've discovered so many new writer friends, gathered so much valuable writing advice, learned of publishing news and many news items in general via Twitter. And recently, I've learned it's a great way to keep up with NaNo folks. Twitter is like a little online community. It's Facebook without all the stupid apps and causes and whatever else nonsense Facebook is up to these days. I mean, I do love Facebook, but...it is getting kind of ridiculous. Anyway, I digress.

I stay up-to-date on people's word counts, get to hear how other people's novels are going, and all other such manner of things. And I don't even have to go hang out in the forums. Not that I don't do that anyway... :)

Well, a word about the novel: I still don't hate it yet! Yay! I think I'm doing too much back story, but I am making some interesting connections. And I'm really not worried about too much back story or too much anything right now. This is a rough draft as Chris Baty of NaNo recently reminded us! I love his emails. They are full of entertaining hilariousness. Whoa, I'm just full of digressions tonight.... So I'll stop here...

Word Count as of This Moment: 11,998 (I remain on-target and even a little ahead!)
