Hi Ladies,
I love this list and use many of these books often. I think the next step, however, is to work on a writing list. William is filling journals like crazy and wants to be writer (today anyway), so we've been checking out lots of books on words and writing. Can we (and by we I mean you two) tackle this one next? I bet we could come up with some great titles.

Here are two wordless picture books you might consider adding to your list: THE RED BOOK by Barbara Lehman and FREE FALL by David Wiesner.
Another book about reading: In TAKE CARE, GOOD KNIGHT by Shelley Moore Thomas, a wizard asks three little dragons to care for his cats while he is gone. The wizard leaves written instructions for them. Unfortunatley, the dragons can't read--and that leads to all kinds of humorous situtaions. Fortunately, the Good Knight comes along in time to help out.
