today's surtex flyers are from the fabulous amy schimler who will be showcasing new designs at the group four design studio in booth 221-223. amy has an impressive client list including baby gap, pottery barn, oopsy daisy, and robert kaufman.

there have been lots of new arrivals at jonathan adler - and as you can imagine with good weather approaching they are vibrant, colourful and fun. products include picnic melamine in two new designs 'scales' and 'loop', and a striking greek inspired pottery collection 'santorini'. in bedding there is the hot pink and orange 'alexander' collection (above) and an exclusive 'love dove' art print

i recently visited the 'david bowie is' exhibition at the V&A in london and picked up a few souvenirs in the bowie shop. i bought this 'ziggy stardust' poster by mike joyce (above) and then wanted to know a bit more about it him. i found out that mike has published a whole book of his reimagined concert posters called 'swissted'. the bowie show has certainly raised the bar in how an exhibtion

these are a few snapshots that  managed to grab on our way through the V&A shop on route to the 'david bowie is' exhibition. at the V&A museum you will find a seperate well stocked book shop, a david bowie shop, and the main shop which is packed full of all kinds of great things relating to design, textiles, art and graphics.

'chicken coop' is a new collection created for the spring season by ashley thomas at debenhams. featuring quirky country chickens -in tweed waistcoats and bow ties it fuses illustrated motifs with contemporary stripes and hand drawn flowers. its exclusively available in debenhams stores or check the whole range online here.

salli sue swindell of studio sss has been very busy creating lots of new work, some of which i am lucky enough to be able to post here. salli is based in ohio and also designs with her brother nate padavick who is based in berlin, germany. their clients have included pottery barn and madison park greetings and they have a website for posting patterns with their contact details online here.

sarah waterhouse is a sheffield based designer who hand prints all her own fabrics in her studio using organic inks, hemp and cotton. last year sarah starting printing by the metre and plans to add upholstery weight fabrics to her collection. sarah has an etsy shop and a great blog showing the creation of the designs and printing process.

all these lovely works are by kate yorke for her new business called emily pickle. kate designs cards, tea towels and prints for her label which is named after her daughter. recently her tea towel above was named in a top 10 selection by the guardian newspaper and her design below has been shortlisted in a brabantia design competition. see more online at emily pickle.

the latest surtex flyers i have recieved came in the post instead of via email. the super colourful package was sent through by the cinnamon joe studio and featured a decorated envelope, elephant book mark and fold out business card, as well as individual flyers for each of their artists. if you are attending this years show do not miss cinnamon joe in booth 312 for loads of great new artwork.

besides surtex the month of may also sees london hosting progressive greetings live, the international card show which has been brought forward this year to take place before surtex. i was sent a flyer for 'PG live' by shirley copperwhite a dublin based designer who will be showing her work for the first time on stand 146.

maude asbury's latest collection for blend fabrics is this colourful circus themed range called 'bailey'. maude asbury is a brand that was created by joe spiegelberg (also of blend fabrics) in 1988 in california and works with various designers and manufacturers. below: gabbie is another striking new maude collection for blend fabrics featuring colourful graphic blooms.

with just one month to go before surtex opens in new york its that time of year to post up all your surtex flyers. this fab flyer is from rachel gresham who is very excited to be making her surtex debut this year. rachel will have a folio of new designs to showcase for licensing so look out for her in booth 665.

mini moderns have a new wallpaper collection launching next month called 'darjeeling'. described by mini moderns designers keith and mark as 'eastern chakras meet sunburst emblems, and glam rock' this design taps into a seventies retro vibe but has a distinctly modern edge. available in five colourways you can find it online here.

last week paperchase introduced an exclusive new collection especially designed by the amazing helen dardik. helen's beautiful illustrations feature on a range of eco-friendly paper products such as notebooks and notecards, as well as on mugs, water bottles and lunch bags. its great to see a collaboration between at top quality company and a fabulous artist. see the full range online here.

also new at paperchase this month is pushy cats - a range for all fans of cute cats and kittens. the cute cat's faces feature on various patterned bodies in a fun colourful hand drawn print that reminds me a little of andy warhol's cats. you can find the full line of over thirty items online here.  

paperchase have just launched their 2013 mid year diaries with some lovely new cover designs including this gorgeous peacocks (above) and blooms (below). im also loving this fun moustache print... and a colourful 'button' design... and finally there is a sophisticated new collection called 'elsa' which features on a selection of stationery and luggage in subtle 

fawnsberg is an illustrated stationery range created by sisters rachel and patricia mumau. the collection of cards, papers, and stamps was born out of love for handwritten letters and besides fawnsberg the sisters also work with their mother kim at the primele creative studio. if their beautiful cards have captured your heart you can find them for sale at fawnsberg or on etsy.

butterscotch and beesting will be appearing at pulse in london next month. the company was set up in 2011 by camilla westergaard who is in love with drawing, colour, patterns and most of all storytelling. when all this was 'whisked' together the concept of a circus with characters miss betty butterscotch and mr bumblewick beesting was born. the adventures of the circus and those who live and
