3. DESIGNER - magnus riise

Print & Pattern has another new designer joining the Designers for Hire directory this week - Magnus Riise. Magnus is based in Oslo, Norway and creates surface patterns, illustrations and graphic design. He studied a BA in visual communication at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design in Norway, and also attended the Kolding School of Design, in Denmark. Magnus describes his work as "colourful,

4. WALL ART - dunelm

I wanted to finish today with a wall art post after spotting this graphic floral design in Dunelm. In bright sunny colours it features a nice row of mid century style blooms. Also available a nice framed 3D cut out petal design and interesting type on a cushion.

5. STATIONERY - the art file

For today's Friday eye candy we have some lovely new wrapping paper and stationery designs from The Art File. I loved this textured geometric design on gift wrap (above and below) and a smart new range on notebooks and stationery called Mirage. 9. NEW SEASON - by may

BY MAY is a Stockholm based design studio and brand founded by Johanna Örn and Maria Bergström. The duo are hugely inspired by graphic prints and playful geometrics and use them on stationery and homewares. One of their latest creations is a range of Polygon silicone placemats with co-ordinating tea towels. And also catching my eye prints for framing or for postcards called Fragments.

Lohko is the latest range of fabrics and wallpapers from UK company Scion. 13. KIDS DESIGN - mini boden

Have you seen the new Florasaurus prints from Mini Boden which have been widely publicised as the first ever dinosaur print for girls. Adrien Cissé is a a french product and pattern designer who has created some original designs featuring quirky motifs such as 3D flowers and Lego bricks. He likes to include humour and reverie in his work and feels he keeps a sense of his childhood dreams in his passion for design. 19. NEW CARDS - paper salad

These bright new greetings cards are the latest release from UK publisher Paper Salad. Called 'Little Nippers' it is a joyful combination of hand painted characters and vivid neon colours. The collection includes age 1 to 5 for both girls and boys and 14 other fun birthday designs. 22. KITCHEN - arco japan

Regular readers will know I love to have a mooch around on google Japan and see what designs I can find - usually with a Scandinavian flavour. Another exhibitor at Top Drawer has been Louise and Lygo.  This Welsh based greetings company is the work of Louise Baker who creates the designs, which use lots of hand drawn typography, and Buick Lygo who works behind the scenes.
