2. SOCK DESIGN - happy socks

Whilst doing my sock research for a P&P showcase I came across Swedish brand 'Happy Socks'. The company was founded in Stockholm in 2008 by graphic designer Viktor Tell and advertising expert Mikael Soderlindh. Now a global brand they manufacture and retail socks and underwear in over 70 countries. The sock designs are colourful and fun but what really catches my eye is the fabulous packaging

14. BOLOGNA TRIP - round-up

These are a few final snaps from last weeks Italian trip. It begins with a series of souvenirs which were the result of a design competition to create a new identity for the city. Out of over 500 entries this was the winning creation from Matteo Bartoli and Michele Pastore. The geometric shapes are taken from elements of the Bologna's historic shields, crests, and heraldry emblems.

18. BOLOGNA TRIP - snapshots pt. 1

I have some more snapshots today from my Italian trip. Bologna is a university town, a bit like Oxford only older and larger, so one thing it has plenty of is book shops. I managed to find some interesting cover designs around the city in stores such as Feltrinelli, Zoo, and the Museum of Modern art shop.

25. BOLOGNA TRIP - desigual

One of the brands I researched in Bologna on my Italian trip was Desigual. This very colourful fashion label was founded by Swiss businessman Thomas Meyer in Ibiza in 1984 and now has it's headquarters in Barcelona, Spain.
