This is one of new pieces I worked on for my portfolio. I started with a sketch and painted with watercolors like how I normally do but for some reason I did not like the way it came out. I then decided to cover up the painting with gouache and acrylics to change the background. Added some trees on the back and red leaves floating in the air.

I made a strawberry garland for a door to my room. :) It would have been much nicer if the strawberries were made with red/white polka dotted fabrics but I wanted to get rid of my old fabric scraps first. I, however, picked out the fabrics that had red so it would still have the "strawberry-ness".
The strawberry is pretty easy to make so anyone interested in making it, just google it for instructions! You would instantly find lots of guides and videos online. I am quite pleased with the way it came out and am happy that it gives a vibrant accent on my plain door. :)

This is a scene from City mouse and Country mouse of Aesop fables.
" The two mice settled down to eat their wonderful dinner, but before they barely took their first bites, a cat approached their dining area. The two mice scampered away and hid in a small uncomfortable hole until the cat left."
And here are some progress pictures. The cat was just so much fun to paint! :p

It is done for a nursery rhyme called "The Man in the Moon".
The man in the moon,
Looked out of the moon,
Looked out of the moon and said:
Looked out of the moon,
Looked out of the moon and said:
It's time for all children on the Earth,
To think about getting to bed!
To think about getting to bed!

Beautiful, love the way you have created the shape of the hat. Great brush work.
Gorgeous! Love the rough strokes and the striking lips and eyes.
Like the drama of this piece.
Lovely, like the looseness of brushstrokes and the delicate face!
Stunning and dramatic. Those eyes certainly hide her intentions.
