3. "Koi Pond II" small art, watercolor painting by Linda T Snider Ward

Koi Pond II is a small (5.5" x 7.5") watercolor on Rives BFK paper. This type of paper, a printmaking paper, doesn't allow for a lot of transitions but receives the watercolor as a stain. The image is from several pictures that I took of a friend's koi pond. When the fish hear her voice, they come up to the surface to greet her (hoping for food, of course).

5. work-in-progress by Linda T Snider-Ward, Louisiana artist

detail of a larger watercolor work-in-progress. I find that I have to let my work "rest" while I work on another piece. I'm pretty excited about this one, but I want it to "rest" a bit until I return to it.  More of my artwork can be seen on my website and my Etsy shop

Tiny Dancer is an ACEO or "Artist, Cards, Editions, Originals" and the only rule for them is that they're 2.5" x 3.5". ACEO's can be any medium but just need to be that size. There are lots of ACEO sites. More of my artwork can be seen on my website and my Etsy shop

12. "Horse Love" by Linda T Snider-Ward, Louisiana artist

Horse Love is painted from my reference photos after attending a horse show nearby. This sweet little girl seemed to have such a connection with her horse. The painting turned out a bit too sweet, but I enjoyed painting it. More of my artwork can be seen on my website and my Etsy shop

13. "Mustang Holding Pen" by Linda T Snider Ward, Louisiana artist

Mustang Holding Pen is painted from my reference photos taken at a mustang auction. It was pretty depressing to see all those beautiful horses crowded together in holding pens. Hopefully, they all went to great homes. More of my artwork can be seen on my website and my Etsy shop

15. "Cambria" by Linda T Snider-Ward, Louisiana artist

Cambria is a watercolor seascape painted from reference photos that I took while I was in Cambria, CA doing some plein air. In this one, I used a medium to block out the areas of total white. More of my artwork can be seen on my website and my Etsy shop

16. "Plein Air, Cambria" by Linda T Snider-Ward, Louisiana artist

Plein Air, Cambria was painted last fall in Cambria, CA, while meeting up with old friends. It was a wonderful feeling to sit on a big rock, listen to the ocean, and try painting what was in front of me. More of my artwork can be seen on my website and my Etsy shop

18. "Imaginary Things" by Linda T Snider-Ward, Louisiana artist

Imaginary Things is part of a series of watercolor "thing" paintings. The paintings are created from my mind but often end up looking like something recognizable. This piece looks like seaweed and shells, washed up on the shore. More of my artwork can be seen on my website and my Etsy shop

22. Plein Air Ponies by Linda T Snider-Ward

Plein Air Ponies is a small (8" x 8") watercolor done on site a few weeks ago. The horses, of course, moved constantly, so it was difficult to get a good drawing of them, but it was fun.
