1. The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves–It Feels Like Fall!

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba of The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  This is a weekly meme where we can share news of the week and highlight new books received.

I think I found a new day care/boarding facility for the puppers.  It’s a little expensive, but I was greeted warmly by pleasant personnel on arrival, the dogs behaved themselves, and as an added bonus, I could check in on them via web cams throughout the day.  They were placed in huge play groups, and Bumble, who can be a complete butthead with new dogs, played well with his peers.  It’s a pain to get to after work because of rush hour traffic, but it’s clean, well-staffed, and the dogs returned home exhausted.  Always a bonus!

Temperatures have plummeted over the last few days, and the trees in the yard are starting to shed their leaves.  We went to one of my favorite cold weather restaurants for lunch: Johnny Carino’s.  Those never-ending bowls of minestrone, paired with a cup of coffee – YUM!  I brought my lunch entrée home because I was too full of soup to eat any of it! (The jalapeño garlic tilapia, in case you were wondering)

What’s your favorite autumn food?  I  love anything with pumpkin, but I have yet to locate Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer this year.  It is an annual ritual to stock up on bottles of it, so I can enjoy them until about spring.  They freeze well, but Dean gripes about all of the coffee creamer taking up room in the freezer.  Tough!
