Isn't a 3 day Labor Day weekend wonderful?!!! It's been a crazy week for us and I'm thankful for some down time.
We've been back and forth to the doctor this week a couple times for my son, who got a bad case of poison ivy. He told me that he sat right on the ivy while he was playing and he's very allergic. Not good. I've felt so bad for him!
So with some quiet down time this weekend, the kids and I rolled out and made gingerbread cookies. This particular recipe had vinegar in it, which I thought sounded strange but it tasted good.
Can you tell that the kids were in charge of the "decorating?" Hee!Hee! Of course they had to cram on as many candy pieces as they could without their gingerbread men falling apart.
It didn't take long before a fight broke out among the Gingerbread men...possibly for the best, ideal location on the cooling rack (whatever that means?).
This sort of looks like a drop kick....don't you think?
Wow, those gingerbread men are really wrestling!
Somebody better break up that fight!
I suppose we better intervene and make some room on that cooling rack......want a gingerbread? Several of these troublemakers need a good home.
Wishing you a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
Blessings,
Jenni
