You can read it in the

A cross-promotional Blog for Imagination-Cafe Magazine

"
The Monster on Top of the Bed is written by Alan H. Jordan and is sure to delight.  The illustrations by Manuela Pentangelo are lively and full of detail - they virtually jump off the page!   This book is one of the best I've read. "

7. The Monster On Top of the Bed

One of my oldest books is going to be back on track!
Going live on the iPad and Printed in a New Format!

The Monster on Top of The Bed

But more of it is that the Author Alan Jordan is raising money for it on http://www.GreatShowcases.com to:

-------------------------

Make a booklet into a big book and donate it to hundreds of schools and libraries!

Let's print a book and donate 100 copies of it to schools, and100 copies to libraries.
We know children love this book because it is already successful in a different edition. Don't take my word for it though. Donate $1.00 or more, get a digital edition of the book and donate it to a library or school and ask them if they would like to receive a full-sized printed

8. I’m already on the ipad and I didn’t knew it!

It’s evening, and my brother got back home, well not before calling me. Yes he was going home with his new iPad on his back!
I arghed al lot but well ok I can manage, I know I’m going to have one, and I think my first book is not ready yet, so who am I that cannot wait. But when he really got home, attached the ipad at iTunes, he just called me again! He saw my first book on it!!! Santa and the Chimney, it was well yes, for Christmas time, so I completely forgot...I was thinking at the summer, sun, beach and well my new book that talk about a boy and Yes summer beach and new friends. Let’s go back to Santa! My brother got it for the iPhone, Is my brother, he had to do it, so when iTunes saw the iPad, said Hei u cannot go without it !
hahahhahah

Santa and the Chimney is avalable on iTunes for ipod and ipadSanta and the Chimney is available on itunes for ipod and ipad

I’m so Happy I did not know it worked!!!! So I’m thinking...Are Dinoshake and Mooshake also working? I made those 3 for an Australian company called Mogeneration, and I’ve loved doing them ’cause I love gagdet, yes, but also because I think books can go everywhere and my job is illustrate so where it brings me I draw. This are from Dinoshake, I have 10 dinos going into sports. The game is for young children. The dino is divided in 3 pieces and the kid has to match the 3 right dino pieces, when it happens there goes the cheering crowd!

Dinoshake available on itunes
My method is really simple, I think we nearly all start the same. With a big Huge Hot coffe, a pencil and some paper. This is one step I need to come out with the main character. Then it dipends on the style where I go from this, but in this case I go rebuild with my computer and my old nice and gentle A5 wacom tablet. PS. If someone know where to buy the point of the pen, and much more how to change it...well please write me 2 lines. This is not the pencil sketch, but here I was at the next step I knew all details of it, now I had to choose what to let him do. This never came into the game..but I still love him so I thought why not and attach it here. Next this I have other 2 I love a lot and well yes this are in the game. Like there is also a coloring book of all the dinos that it can be downloaded from the main site ShakeAndPlay!!!!

Dinoshake available on itunes

Now Let’s see, I have also Mooshake, yes it was the first, didn’t thought of whatwould come out of it, I'm still jumping as it can be seen here in my sketch.
Dinoshake available on itunes

MooShake had only one moving animal, and they where not Dinos but normal animals, like a cat, a frog, o maybe a
karate zebra. But the Animated one and my loved one is the cow! Yes! She is playing Hula Hoop and she likes it.

Dinoshake available on itunes
Meanwhile I did worked on printed books and well is not to talk about it now, Oh well ok I had coming out I think a month ago Do Pirate go to School. It is in my other style and I love it...Now I-m working on a Parrot. A great an d really colorful parrot.
But Let”s go back to animated books. I had one failed project, I will not stay here

Children’s Book Authors invited by Mayor Bloomberg to be part of Immigrant Heritage Week

Keely and Velani team up with the American Immigration Council to host events across the City

New York, NY—Declared an official, annual celebration by Mayor Bloomberg in 2004, Immigrant Heritage Week honors the vibrant immigrant cultures, heritages and communities found in every corner of the City. Keely and Velani were invited by Mayor Bloomberg’s Office of Immigrant Affairs to share their children’s book Davy Brown Discovers His Roots, which celebrates our immigrant past and our own families’ immigration stories with New Yorkers
This year Immigrant Heritage Week is celebrated from April 15 to April 21. Throughout the week, a rich collection of family friendly events, film screenings, art exhibits and walking tours will promote and reflect the diversity of the immigrant communities in New York City.

The authors will kick off Immigrant Heritage Week with breakfast with Mayor Bloomberg at Gracie Mansion with other participants. “We are very honored to receive this invitation to be part of Immigrant Heritage Week—a week long celebration of America’s diversity on a large scale,” the authors said.

They will host two educators workshops on April 16th and 17th in partnership with the Queens Library and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. The educators workshop will also feature Claire Tesh from the American Immigration Council’s Community Education Center. Keely and Velani created a working partnership with the American Immigration Council in 2009 and also donate some proceeds of their book sales to the Community Education Center. The workshops will focus on using their book in teaching modern day immigration in the classroom.

Keely and Velani will also have book signings at Ellis Island and a bookstore in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

About the Authors

Witthöft is an immigrant from South Africa. She graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1999 with two law degrees and practiced bankruptcy law until 2002 when she moved to New York City. She worked for a financial magazine on Wall Street until 2004 when she and her husband moved to Seattle. She is currently a fulltime writer.

Alexander grew up in Western Montana. She attended the University of Montana in Missoula, where she received degrees in English-Literature and German. She has worked in the publishing industry, taught ESL and studied abroad. She now lives in Seattle with her husband and stepdaughter, and works in the casual video games industry.

About Davy Brown Discovers His Roots

Davy Brown is a bright, all-American boy with some not-so-typical problems. His best friend may be leaving the country. His teacher has just instructed the class to describe their own immigration stories—but his family doesn’t have one! And if he fails the class, he may lose his spot on the baseball team. And if all that weren’t bad enough, the cafeteria is serving coleslaw again…
Join Davy and his friends Carlos, Erika, and Amit on their quest as they discover that even the most seemingly typical people have exciting immigration histories. Then, using the resources in this book, embark on your own voyage of discovery—what fascinating immigration stories will you unearth? How many flags adorn your family tree? The answers may surprise and delight you!
