Today I was so happy to find a long lost Christmas gift, a journal from my friend, tucked deep away behind some folders in a book shelf. A poem is to begin on the blank pages.
Also read PENNY AND HER DOLL BY KEVIN HENKES.. lovely chapter book that shows a nice way of naming things that are special.

I've always liked this quote from a favorite person........

It is good to have an end to journey towards;
but it is the journey that matters in the end.

Coming down to the deadline for illustrator's contest and don't know if 'll be finished but trying my best to.

Met with my artist group today. Talked about shows for next year, our 25th anniversary.
Have books to read, stories to write, and paintings to paint.

I do solemnly swear that I have faithfully executed
the PiBoIdMo 30-ideas-in-30-days challenge,
and will, to the best of my ability,

Today was our first snowfall. Just a dusting but its colder too.
For some reason I'm into elves this holiday season..   Last year it was snowmen, this year, elves. Might be anticipating the Hobbit movie! 12-14-12

Having fun working on
 a collaboration with a friend.
I'm calligraphing this poem and
a few others written in a form called Tanka.
When finished it will be a painting.

Big dogs sometimes come in little packages
Last night when I was reading Marion Dane Bauer's book, WHAT'S YOUR STORY, I came across something that really resonates with me so I'll to share it...
"At it's best story telling is an art. And when you are dealing with art, any kind of art, your pleasure in making it is what matters most."
Marion is one of my favorite writing teachers.

Apparently, some of my posts and comments were accidentally deleted... So, if you don't see your comment, or the post, thank you anyway.
Very sorry for those who still don't have power or have been affected by the hurricane in some way.
Sending prays and wishes......
