4. Froggies!

The new Froggies game project has just been completed. PaulSharp.com created the eye-popping, bug catching illustrations, logo, package design, and artwork for the game components. Look for this new board game to hit the toy stores this Christmas. Four colorful 3d toy frogs in bright colors are included.
"Frogs and Toads are a recurring theme in our portfolio" according to Paul Sharp. "The King Toad project received several awards, and we've been having fun illustrating frog art ever since."

5. 2 NEW BOOKS RELEASED

It seems like yesterday we were illustrating these. And now we have the printed copies in our hands.

Book #1 we illustrated in 2010 is:

Bananagrams for Kids” a book by the creators of Bananagrams, the hottest new word game craze was looking for fun characters for their new book cover and interior spreads. Workman contacted Paul for his combined experience illustrating for the toy & game industry, and the children’s book market.

“The project had a very fast turnaround. After several thumbnail concept sketches were considered featuring both human and animal characters, the animals won.” said Paul.

“The puzzled look on the monkey’s face made it everyone’s favorite. It has the expression that I have when I work these puzzles! They liked the sketches of kids that I created, too. But, there was the question of whether to show a girl, a boy, or both. The monkey had the advantage of being gender neutral and keeping the layout simpler. And, of course the monkey was a natural tie-in with the official Bananagrams banana.”

Jungle animals were created for the interior spreads along with banana trees used to decorate the headers on each page. The word games include: Monkey in the Middle, Banana Turnovers and Banana Bunch, with different levels of difficulty illustrated by the number of bananas shown in it’s bunch.

“The people at Workman were great to work with. And the project needed the type of characters that I enjoy creating.”

Book #2 illustrated for LifeWay Press in 2010 is:

"Super Duper Fun & Exciting Absolutely Thought Igniting Bible Activities for Kids".

It's a book of fun and fabulous activities to engage preschoolers and promote spiritual, physical, cognitive, social/emotional and creative development.

We illustrated this book's interior spreads, and are excited about this book, which looks like it will be a great resource for Sunday School teachers and preschool teachers.

We've illustrated several projects for the people at LifeWay. And, they were very nice to work with, as always.

It's great to have bright new copies of these two NEW books.

Now it's back to our Children's APP development projects. The Twinkle Twinkle Little Star App we illustrated for Kiboomu, available at the itunes store. More about that soon...
