I have been meaning to post about my first Barefoot Books home party. I had a blast. With six mommies and nine little ones in attendance, the party was a huge success.
We started off the morning making one of the easy recipes from

My son and I had a great day on Friday. After our weekly playdate with friends, we ventured over to the library. Here are some of the books we picked out together. (Note my son's little hand just waiting to grab at them on the sidelines.)
I just read a great post from LITERACY LAUNCHPAD that suggests you find books for your children (or pupils) on topics they have already demonstrated an interest in. This works particularly well for the reluctant reader, as well as the avid one. (more)
