These arms are another' reason why I don't want the NEW clunky cintiq..

I have the same one as Joshua and I'll never go back. If you pair it with a small keyboard, I use the mac one, it's a great ergonomic combo.

First and foremost, let me start by saying thank you for this particular post. It is a great idea that you are looking out for us cintiq users. My goodness, I've tried to prop up mine in so many ways. This is a definite life saver.

I also use the Ergotron LX arm, both at home and at work, after having seen a few videos of it being used with the Cintiq. Works just fine with the Cintiq 21UX, and it's 1/5th the price of the Ergomart one.

It looks like the most beautiful movie Dreamworks has ever made.

I thought it looks a bit like how to train your dragon and I do have trouble believing the scottish celts ever wanted women to be prim and proper, but it does look good over all and billy connolly makes everything awesome

The designs are nice, but they remind me a bit too much of how to train your dragon from dreamworks. I will still be watching it regardless.

I always hope that they push the lighting further

I think what catches my eye most is how well they've done hair on some of the characters, particularly Merida's. It's a really lovely painterly look that I've not really seen before.

Not so sure after the trailer if it's going to be utterly fantastic but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it. The clydesdale and the bear looks awesome already!

Any original, non-sequel film from Pixar has to be welcomed, but if I had to guess who had made it without knowing, I'd say Dreamworks.

Dreamworks doesn't have the balls to make something like this.

To be blunt.

The textures and hair look brillant. I am not sold on the story yet, but the visuals are impressive.

The strength of a character is in his personality, not in his shape-draw. therefore, i need to watch the movie in order to say something. However something in "brave" reminds me "how to train your dragon" since Vikings and Celtics are not so distant to each other.

The trailer is terrible. I have no idea what the movie is about, and it feels like a show reel of 'epic movie' shots and slapstick humor. I'm so tired of badly edited movie trailers. The movie looks 'pretty'. Not much else going on there for me.

I think it looks like an exciting story... but judging from the trailer, and these things are always improved upon in the movie, I would say:
The lighting in some of the scenes (the hall where the suitors are presented) looks very flat
The skin subsurface scattering looks very plastic, like a doll's head.
I also hope they are going to add some detail to the facial texture. Hopefully it's still wip.
The hair looks amazing.
On the whole the story feels a unoriginal, a little like the tried and tested Disney fairy tale.
Of course this is all going by the trailer, which is always tricky.
But I love the scottish highland angle. Could be epic.

the original design drawings where so wonderful beautiful and unique, then they made this ghastly CGI puppet ball head with bug eyes. yak.
and the story
a girl making a place in a mans world... come on
no wonder it's the first film with a female hero Pixar did.
in the highland woman crash the skulls of bears with their big bare hands.
but no, she's a girl, she's tiny and weak she has to have a bow and arrow.

I'd like to think there's more to the piece than great character design and interesting hairstyles, but time will tell. Thankfully CGI movie making has gone beyond "it's amazing what they can do with computers these days" and now requires substance and plot to make it a success. I wish it all the success in the world, and I'm going to dye my hair ginger - what there is left of it.

The drawings look fantastic, but I'm really tired of stories about castles, magic and dragons. The people that make the movies should think something new to give us.

Little disappointed to be honest. Looks far more slapstick than I was hoping, I thought Pixar said they'd make it a tad more serious. Also, the character designs all look too samey; too many round bodies and long thin heads.
I also have to agree with the whole femininity thing. Celtic women were just as capable warriors as the men and many were clan leaders.

I think it looks great! I think the female lead character looks awesome, especially her hair. The story and other characters look like they have real potential as well. I like the idea of it being about Celts and their traditions

I'm not sure really why people are slating it so much and comparing it to How to Train Your Dragon, which is one of my all time favourites. Sure there's the similarity that they're both about old tribes (celts/vikings), but this isn't the first time the studios have done a movie on a similar theme e.g. Monsters Inc. and Monster vs. Aliens and they were entirely different.

I think the story of Brave has an original angle and it has a female lead which is a definate change. I've yet to be disappointed by Pixar so I'm going to wait and see.

I guess that the argument will be more mature and less comic. It's the first time that Pixar make a film with a female protagonist and I don´t know a lot about the argument, but it seems very unoriginal.

Anyway I still have faith in the people who made films like "Up"... I expect a very clever twist in the argument.

I can't wait untill June!

Rafa, when I looked at the second still along with the other stills showing the large men I would have mistaken them for any one of the Vikings in How To Train Your Dragon had I not known which movie this was. Make no mistake, I stil like how the whole thing looks thus far. Like others have mentioned the viking and celtic cultures were not too different from each other so there were bound to be some similarities in the overall look.

But oh well, that aside, I'm only glad Pixar is coming out with a new movie. Aren't you?

merida's hair design is sooooo cool! fiery almost neon dredlochs, many little hues of red, (even some pinks!) with total saturation that just make her look really unique. (i'm not goona wash mine for a few days and maybe twist it all in sandwich tie knots, to achieve that way cool look!)

merida's also got some great smirky, goofy expressions, an awkward yet lithe shape (and that's pretty impressive to pull off) and the title's legacy to carry, so...i think merida, so far, is really well-designed character.

the rest does feel a bit like pixar taking on the best of "how to train toothless" annnnnd braveheart - the renderman experience, but whaddya goona do? the story is dictating the design, the a-list voices are driving the characters, and so far, for just a second trailer, i think it's all working. "-)

appealing characters. Dont really care if looks like this or that. Its Pixar it will be of the highest quality and I cant wait to see it.

THE HAIR! I am in awe of the texture y'all have achieved. I feel like I could reach out and touch it. I am intrigued to see the movie--visual quality will be stunning, story quality will have to wait till Brave is out. But Kudos, y'all have really made it gorgeous--I hope the storyline matches the appearance!

It looks really good. The character design are very impressive especially Merida's hair. I've seen a few trailers of Brave and I think I will be watching it.

Very disappointed with PIXAR lately. They have the ability to push the boundaries of design in American animation and open things up story wise for the rest of the studios. But what we get is a stale, safe, style and story that used to be reserved for Dreamworks film's.

I'll see the movie, because I'm a part of this industry, but I wish they would use the power that they have to be more daring.

What I think?? I have the very certain opinion this movie will be at least, utterly stupendous! The voice acting and the character design was enough to fill me with glorious excitement!!
