About Michelle
A teacher and author, I write novels for young people. My first book, BABY BLUE (Henry Holt, 2004) was named a New York Public Library Best Book for the Teen Age. My second novel, ITCH, for middle-grade readers (Henry Holt, April 2008) was praised by Booklist as a "moving, believable story" with "sympathetic, well-drawn characters" and is now available as an audio book (Recorded Books, July 2008)... Michelle,
I have not had the priviledge of reading your book yet. The good news is that I'll have to wait because all the copies I bought for our system are checked out!

Thanks for letting me know about your choice of Ohio for Itch. I suppose we do get a little itchy here, especially at this time of year when school is almost out for summer!

I will definitely check out Itch. I'm interested in why you chose Ohio as the setting. I'll likely find out once I read the book, right?
