He took his pseudonym LOOKMAN when he started writing.
At school he was considered a bright student especially in the arts, but never followed that direction until later in life. Instead he has worked in public administration, construction supply and HR. His degree is in Development Economics and has undertaken further postgraduate studies in TEFL. He is also a member of the Oddfellows a mutual friendly society, The Society of Authors and the producers organisation PACT.

Lookman has a passion to write and for writing, writing to entertain in ways that are novel and edifying. He published three books in 2008; ‘Children from the Sea’ a mystery / crime novella about a migrant girl settling in Spain and finding a merboy; ‘Henry and the Alien’ a comic fantasy adventure about Henri’s search for her family through time dimensions with an alien explorer and a sprite; and Mihte’s Quest a fantasy adventure. In this chiller, three kidnapped feral kids have to perform a quest to return from the supernatural Underworld. Since, he has completed two more ever-remarkable Mihte books following the youth of the sun, the first two novels in his Jo Badpenny teen spy series and he has written a time slip novel, ‘Gossiping Tree’, the first realistic depiction of mediaeval life. His favourite genres are fantasy, humour, adventure and historical children's fiction.
Film, drama and animation
Before he commenced writing novels he wrote and directed, three plays broadcast on BBC radio over ten years. With the decline in publishing, he has recently moved from books into other broadcast media, having written several screenplays for television, cinema and a children’s television cartoon pilot. The latter he hopes to finalize a contract to put into production.
