Leah Browning has worked as a freelance writer and editor since 1995. She is the author of two nonfiction books, Babysitting Basics and Babysitting Rules (Capstone Press). Her fiction, poetry, essays, and articles have also appeared in a variety of publications including The Saint Ann's Review, Literary Mama, 42opus, Lily, Blood Orange Review, Salome Magazine, Autumn Sky Poetry, and several anthologies. Her poetry and prose are forthcoming in Queen's Quarterly, Wild Violet, Tipton Poetry Journal, Foliate Oak, and Prairie Poetry, in a coffee table book from Capital BookFest, as a broadside from Broadsided Press, and as part of a series of postcards from Poetry Jumps Off the Shelf. In addition to writing, Browning serves as editor of the Apple Valley Review, an online literary journal. Each issue features a collection of poetry, short fiction, and essays.
