As a child I grew up with the magic of Children's radio programmes, which is why my writing was initially directed towards this outlet. Remember all those 42 Wonderful Wriggly Worm stories? which were broadcast and repeated many times over the years late 1970s to early 90s on Listen with Mother and then on Listening Corner These stories were loved by all age groups. .
The best time of all for a story for children and grownups is bedtime when an adult reads to a child
OR a child reads to an adult. It can create wonderful pictures in the mind which don't fade like those on the TV when it's switched off..
I now live in Gloucestershire where my small 'secret garden' is shared with visiting birds, squirrels and the occasional field-mouse.
