Elinore Blaisdell was born 14-Oct-1904 and married "Mike" (Melrich Vonelm Rosenberg) in 1928. He died in 1937. She lived until abt. 1994 and never remarried. They had no children.

Elinore's book "Falcon, Fly Back" listed her husband as the "late" Melrich Rosenberg; he apparently had died before 1939; Elinore dedicated this 1939 book "To Mike With Love"

EDUCATION: Studied anatomy and drawing with Naum Los, NY, painted with Robert Brackman at the Art Student's League, and attended Slade School, London, England

OCCUPATION: Known for her poetry, art, and as an author & illustrator; she illustrated 3 books by her husband; she authored and illustrated her first children's book, "Falcon, Fly Back," which was the 1939 award book selection by the Julia Ellsworth Ford Foundation for Children's Literature and published by Julian Messner, Inc.

She illustrated at least 45 books from 1928 through the 1960s (mostly in the mid-forties through the mid-fifties).

At least two paintings survive and were recently sold (2001, 1998) by artnet.de. They are "Allegory of Fruitfulness" (pencil) and "The Lyric of the Llama" (Pen and ink and watercolor). She also painted "The Birmingham Girl" and "Lady in Hat."
