This book is a page turner. You clearly see the role reversal between the adult and the child with the child taking care of the adult. Addison is a character that you can't help but love. This story is told so completely with the emotions and thoughts of the child, that I felt like I really knew them. Excellent book for kids identifying with dysfunction. It has a happy ending and the main character grows with empowerment. It tells the story without being too dark. If a child has a fear of abandonment this might not be the book to read.|
