Linda Schlitz does a wonderful job of explaning, as she understands it, the difference between day fairies and night fairies. But that difference is not really what this story is all about. It's interesting and it does hook the reader, but it isn't the real story.
The real story is how Flora survives and grows to have love and compassion to the other animals in the garden. She even forgives and makes friends with the animal she most fears.
This is a small book and a quick but wonderful read. I hope you take the time to check it out!
