I believe Sarah's mother was Mary Beecher Grames, my great-grandfather's sister, making my great-grandfather Sarah's uncle. This man, Walter Julius Beecher, was an editor at the publishing company that published one of Sarah's early works, "More Stories of the Three Pigs" (1921, F.A. Owen Publishing, Dansville, NY).
