MoreHymns forL ittle Children. There is no greater want, at this moment, than books really suited to children; and nothing certainly more difficult than to produce such books. The charm of this little volume is, that it teaches truths, which all may ponder with advantage, in language so simple, as never to be above the understanding of a child, and yet so pure, that the nicest taste will find nothing to offend it. A true church feeling pervades it. .T he devotion which it teaches, is such asH ooker and Herbert would have delighted in. I ts instructions are eminently sound, without extravagance of any kind, and there is not a dull verse in it. Having used it, or seen it used, for some time in a Parochial School, and observed its popularity among the children, I rejoice to hear of its intended republication, and confidently predict for it, a like welcome reception among the young every where.
