Anne Wilson, the beautiful journalist of Vantage Points, stands on the USS Missouri and watches General Douglas MacArthur accept the surrender of the Japanese Empire. Her mind wanders back over her years of covering the war and her personal trials. She wonders what the new world order will hold for her.

A month later, Anne is settled in Paris and traveling the continent as one of two correspondents covering Europe for the Washington Post. After writing about political repression in Greece, she believes that a Greek agent is following her. She soon discovers that the sinister figure is in fact an American spy, who tries to recruit her as an informant. Like a bad penny, he will turn up again and involve Anne in dangerous intrigue.

Anne's life is further complicated by her reunion with a prewar lover. He now has a political affiliation that could compromise her career, yet she finds herself unable to break away from the relationship.

In this well-researched novel, readers are taken back to life in postwar Europe and can follow the deterioration of the World War II alliance between the U.S and the Soviet Union, leading to the harrowing climax at midnight in Prague.

Ken Libbey has a Ph.D. in political science from Syracuse University and taught at the University of Cincinnati before joining the U.S. General Accounting Office, where he evaluated government programs for the Congress. His first novel was Vantage Points, set in World War II. A third novel, Camille, is also available in the Kindle Store.
