Motivated by the physical changes going on within his body and by new social demands from external creatures called family members, Elvis Elfin is pushed to make a social contract; the time has come for him to decide how he will become a member of the elfin race; how he will join and how long he will belong.

Elvis is confronted with three possibilities. What he decides will affect the quality of his belonging for the rest of his life. If at some grown-up time he becomes disillusioned with his childhood choice he may decide to redecide.
