"Storm of Spirit" is a child's story of surviving and sharing. Having experienced the tornadoes in the Spring of 1998, the author spoke with children who witnessed this disaster, lost their homes and families. Together they created a book to help children deal with the trauma, and to focus on the positive power of the human spirit to rebuild and help others.There are full-page illustrations to color and complete. Released in June of 1998, "Storm of Spirit" sold over 3000 copies to the areas affected by the storms in eight weeks. A significant portion of the funds raised was returned to the community and its children to rebuild a library. Now available, in a second printing for the upcoming season. A great tool for all children who have witnessed a natural disaster or who fear storms. Educational as well as entertaining, with a positive outcome.
