sustainable development from a global perspective within the subject areas of design, technology and geography at key stage 3 of the UK National Curriculum (11-14 year olds). The teaching packet combines:
- a wealth of case studies: sustainable technology in action in the
lives of ordinary people and their communities around the world on the themes of Transport, Solar Energy, Food and Eco-fashion. The case studies are further supported with color picture cards.
- Delivery of tools: extensive teacher's notes giving ideas on what you
need to deliver on sustainable development in the curriculum.
- Ideas for students: enabling students to explore the design and
application of technologies appropriate to sustainable development.
- Designing and making activities: enabling students to get a hands on
grasp of sustainable technology in action.
