Dear Daughter Book 1, The People in A Girl's Life, presents social problems faced by adolescent girls and the additional problems that can surface if the young woman has special needs. Presented in a series of question and answer letters, this book tackles interfamily relations, friendship, relationships, and personal social skills. The issues raised are made easily accessible by the inclusion of boxes that summarize the letters and the highlighting of key issues within the letters. The author offers honest and sensible advice drawn from personal experience that she has gained from raising her daughter and years of teaching.
