MoreOur hero, a nice, normal boy, has an easy, good life going for him. He doesn't realize that, because of what and how he eats, plays and just lives, he's gaining weight--way too much weight. When his doctor tells him he can have more pep, feel better and have more fun if he gets rid of those unwanted pounds, he figures it'll be a 'no-problem' job. So he decides to give it the best try he can. He finds that it isn't easy. But he does follow the Three Rules that the doctor gives him: Eat Better Foods ** Exercise and Play More ** Stick To It With persistence and some fun, he'll succeed, finding way more energy, better health and a positive, confident attitude. Non-didactic, realistic and fun, I LIKE LOTS is for all parents, kids and doctors battling this world-wide problem. About the Author: Isaacsen-Bright was one of those kids who suffered the taunts and limitations of being a "fatty." Today, she's a mom, grandma and great-grandma. She's been a nurse, a teacher in advanced-placement classes in Secondary School, Junior College and has lectured as a Master Teacher in the local University. During some summers, she's volunteered in State and National Redwood Parks helping the Rangers write programs and collecting oral histories. In 'off hours,' she knits afghans for the local Foster Children and Battered Women's Shelter associations, gardens and collects rocks and fossils. In writing children's books, she's found a fulfilling way to address--and perhaps help--kids of all ages deal with the problems they encounter. About the Illustrator: Lois Greenall has worked for Disney Studios and independently as a muralist, an illustrator for children's books and as a school teacher. She and her husband, Chuck, have five children and eighteen grandchildren.
