Monira's Fables are sensitive and nurturing stories for children three to twelve years old that touch the child within each of us. This story positively effects children's social attitudes, increases their self-esteem, and motivates them to develop a friendly and joyful outlook on life.
These fables can serve as bedtime, at home stories, or stories to invite discussion in the classroom. These types of stories appear to be much sought after by children, parents, teachers, and adults. They enhance relationships between children and adults.
These stories help shape the self-image children will carry with them throughout their lives. It will give them the inner strength and confidence from which to draw on for the rest of their lives.
These fun, educational, and effective communication tools, provide the solid foundation for healthy self-esteem. These fables encourage children to share feelings and learn values that also give us confidence to be better parents, teachers, and caregivers. These early years are when the seeds of self-esteem are planted and feelings are instrumental to this process. We want our children to know who they are. We want to do everything we can to prepare our children for the challenges of the 21st century.
The purpose of this book is twofold: to benefit children directly as they learn about the different aspects of themselves, and to help adults get to know and understand children and the way they feel about themselves and life.
This book can be used as an assessment tool in documenting emotional growth, as well as an excellent resource for developing the true art of communication, which is based on the truth of one's experience.
The lessons and questions at the end of the fables are to stimulate thoughts and feelings. And provide the opportunity for interaction. Listen to the children's answers and feeling without judgment and allow them to express their honesty.
As the Chinese proverb says, "All the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds of today."
