All Maggie wanted was to find a way to help others. So, she started a club, thinking that would be a good start. But what started out as a simple club turned out to be much more to Maggie and her friends. Maggie had noticed that she was changing. She began thinking of others more than herself. Her mom said it was because she was growing up. Maggie wasn't sure, but she knew that this year was different. She wanted a ministry, a way to reach out to people. Jesus Himself had a ministry; that was what her Sunday school class had been learning. Maggie felt compelled to follow His example. When she started the Backyard Helpers, however, she had no idea what she was getting into. She never realized until then how touching other people's lives could forever change her own.
